This is cool but I have no interest in FJ’s until someone cuts the roof off.

Saw this on craigslist yesterday. If it was closer to $20k or less, I'd seriously consider it. D4D diesel engine also; but factory. These are basically a four door FJ cruiser (known as Lexus GX470 here - with 2uzfe).

I found one in this colour years ago in a barn in Cedar, not sure how that happened since it was never offered in Canada.

Isn't @burnz 's truck that color? Will have to dig back through my old wheeling pics.

Edit. Can't find a good picture, but here are a couple of his truck (bit of a 'where's waldo'):

So shiny... I’m glad it had good bones under all that filth.

Well, the pick up is a whiny phat baby suckling on the tit of a computer with more check engine lights, red lights, yellow lights &
more f'n servos than the space shuttle, which couldn't land by itself either. Trust is by a fingernail when I turn the key.
The REAL truck runs always, has no dash lights that aren't directly related to a switch and have a useful purpose. I trust it with my life.

I know the feeling. There are half a dozen different ways to get an old cruiser running.

With my newer Toyota, it wouldn’t start when we left the accessories on too long. Got a boost from a flatbed wrecker, extra heavy cables hooked onto a tiny tab under the hood. Hit the power button, and a couple lights came on, on the dash & nothing else. Driver disconnected the cables and said, “You’re good to go”. 12v was needed to hit the power button... bet a 9v battery and a couple AAs could boost it.
