Can you post a photo of the outboard splines, similar to the one you posted of the inboard splines, please?Mine arrived last Sunday after a 30 day wait. Here are pictures…

Uff... I'm getting excited now. My passenger side just started clicking so this is perfect timing. Not to mention if my vibration at 70 has been axles the whole time.Mine arrived last Sunday after a 30 day wait. Here are pictures…

Here you go…. I noticed the outboard splines on both were digging into the cardboard box when I first opened them. Due to that there is a little cardboard dust still on the splines in the one picture. They are in fine shape IMO.Can you post a photo of the outboard splines, similar to the one you posted of the inboard splines, please?
Interesting to see they didn't use the boot kit they sell. These boots look like those boots on aftermarket CV axle.Mine arrived last Sunday after a 30 day wait. Here are pictures…

Thanks but can you get a photo that’s focused on the splines instead of the towel? Tough to tell in that pic, but the splines look worn and peaked to me, suggesting that their definition of reman = reboot + regrease only. Here you go…. Yes, but they are out in the garage for the night. I noticed the outboard splines on both were digging into the cardboard box when I first opened them. Due to that there is a little cardboard still on the splines in the one picture. They are in fine shape IMO.
its on thereDid they not come with the retaining clip for the inboard spline end?
Same concern here. I need new cvs on my 06. Will likely pony up for brand new, but I'm intrigued to see the remans. Thanks but can you get a photo that’s focused on the splines instead of the towel? The challenge with reman is that almost all the wear surfaces are on high $$ components that they probably can't afford to replace so these remans have to be made from heavily scrutinized cores or they're just rebranded aftermarket nonsense.
Thanks for the better photos. Definitely has worn and peaked outboard splines. You’ll have slop in the drivetrain even with new hub flanges. These are not true “reman” axles. Instead they’re just cleaned up, rebooted, and re-greased. They’ll have a short lifespan until the splines completely strip out.
Awesome pics, thanks. Those outboard splines are visibly worn. Inboard looks good to me. Outboard is marginal - terrible in terms of a "new" axle, but for a fraction the price of new OEM, maybe it's acceptable. I wouldn't be afraid to install that, but I wouldn't count on it lasting more than 3-5 years of normal use. Be very cautious with getting a good snap ring and fitting it properly.
So mine just arrived and here are pictures of each one:

Agreed. I can't use one of them anyways because of the damage sustained during shipping...Awesome pics, thanks. Those outboard splines are visibly worn. Inboard looks good to me. Axle #1: That's not good. significant wear on the snap ring edge (the ONLY thing holding the axle to the hub). Spline wear is awful. I would not install that and I'd return it. That would be a waste of time to install.
Axle #2: That's atrocious. You can't even install that. The snap ring won't hold the axle in. I bet that's an axle from a catastrophic failure. It should have been trashed. That is a disgrace. Do not install that. This is a great example of why accountants shouldn't run parts decisions. I doubt an engineer was involved in the inspection process for these "remans" if that's what they're allowing. One of the core critical features of the assembly is blatantly ruined. The spline wear is also terrible and I expect you'd feel tons of slop with total failure just around the corner.
Graphic below showing what the snap ring edge should be (green) vs what it is (red).

I would love to see more examples. This is fascinating.![]()
