The CV’s are 1 part number- interchangeable- they are the same shaft diameter; the inner diameter of both seals is the same- it’s the outer diameter of the seals that is different.

Awesome, thanks.
I know things are offset, I just figured the mating surface and seal would be the same both sides if it's the same CV, but I guess not.
Also, IIRC when I was looking at the parts description, it mentioned both L and R side drive shaft for the 9031147013 seal, whereas 9031147027 says left side drive shaft
One goes in the side of the diff, the other goes in the end of the shaft tube.

I've decided to move direction again. I will be re booting since I have no grinding or clunking in my driveline.

Is there a DIY I could look at?

Reboot kit number for outer boot: 0442760120
I’m in the same boat…no grinding or clunking, so looking to reboot instead of replacing axles.
Same part number for left and right? Anything else we would need in addition to some grease to reboot?

Anyone know the part number for inner boot kit? My outer boots seem to be in good shape but inner ones are torn.

@hoser

Well this thread was a welcomed gut punch🫤. Tomorrow I will make arrangements to return my remanned CVs and order new. The only thing I can think of that could be a positive, is if Toyota is reusing parts from 100s that are part time 4wd. Those would have less wear on the outer splines, however there’s no way to know what you have. This is disappointing that Toyota would do something like this. Thanks for the heads up.

If your remanufactured CV's show low spline wear and the internal joints feel tight (at all angles), I'd just run them. The Toyota CV's are really robust. Most people don't want to spend $1200 on two axles for a vehicle that is worth $10k. So remanufactured is a good option to have. I trust it more than most aftermarket.
