"Toyota" front grill?

I have a 95 with the Toyota logo but i've seen 80s with Toyota across the grill, is this an earlier year, JDM only?
My 95 is the same. I also have cloth seats, and my drop bracket for the rear sway are the same as a 94. Other MUD members said Toyota might of used some of the last older model stuff for my LC.

Custom grill option available from a mud vendor. These are really well made.
This was going to be my next post. Ive been eyeing these grills for a min now. Just debating if I will sell the LC or not

They are not the same and the "TOYOTA" version does not exactly fit the Toyota logo version trucks. I've tried.

I "might" have been the first to take a 60 series TOYOTA and add it to a 95+ grill. I cut out the sombrero but left enough material behind to keep the structure. I then added mounting tabs out of aluminum to the grille and screwed machine screws into the tabs and holes in the TOYOTA emblem. I just repainted by grill again about a month ago and the tabs are still holding up well.

BTW, there are two large TOYOTA emblems. I specifically wanted a 60 series emblem with history. There is also a FJ Cruiser emblem that is very similar but different dimensions and flatter. My emblem has not been restored or modified and is starting to show its age.

Dang that looks sharp. It’s like the early grills but bigger, I like it.

Multiple threads on this topic. If you have a 95-97 and want to run the 91-94 "toyota" grill, the only way to make it look stock is to change the valence panel, or the metal piece surrounding the grill as well. If you don't change this panel I believe there are gaps present from the slight differences between years.

I'm digging this idea do you have any photos of how you attached to the back of the grill?

Would you have done anything different?
