Has anyone called to see if it's a typo? That's 295 size. I like the 325/80R16.

I found a place here that will do the 37X12.50R17LT mounted and balanced for $250 ea. They looked like a very nice tire at SEMA.

They are a good ones for on road use ( low very low noisy ) and great for rocks .. I don't know about performance in sand... but I thought fine .. but un mud .. !!!! sucks ..!!!!!!

So are a good ones .. for overal use.

Just went outside and measured my 315/75R16 Coopers - 33.5" semi-compressed from the weight of the truck. Probably right around 34" unmounted height.

As for performance, have only had them out once in a real wheeling situation. They dug extremely well in the snow. On road is quiet and balanced. Moderate weight added - no more than my previous MTR's, but MUCH quiter than the MTR.

how many miles have you put on them??

I was about to upgrade my 99 4r to the 315 STT, but talked myself out of it.
The site says they are 34.47"x11.9"---that is only 1.1" taller than the 295 Nitto Terra Grappler and .3" wider.

I really want the STT. PM me if need be w/ pics

I have heard very good things about the Toyo.
I found 285 M/Ts for $188 mounted and balanced. However, the extra weight scares me a little

Just saw your truck in one of TY's threads so i searched and found this thread. Cool truck:cool:. Love the old school rims and hubcaps, the badges and sliders/bumpers/lights set up.

i like the color of your truck with matching rims. what are they?

Clown, what springs etc, and do you get any rubbing???
Cheers,
Sean

Randy - thanks. I'm in the process of flagrantly copying your retro look and doing a "Satoshi grill mod" thingy with the old school Toyota in the middle. thanks for the inspiration

Sean - those are Slee's 6" springs with 1.5" alum spring spacers and a 1" body lift. With those steel rims and tires (which I think the wheels are 4.5" BS) I get some rubbing on the front control arms at full lock but the rears actually tuck up a bit better than if I put the wheel spacers on. Those are 1.5" wheel spacers I use for the Tundra rims. With those the front is clean, no rubbing, etc. but the rears will then just barely catch on the flares as they go up into the wheel well. Maybe 1" spacers would be perfect front and back but I'm not about to drop any more $$$ on it - not a big enough issue as any rubbing is at slow speeds anyway.

I wish these Toyo's were cheaper as I'm liking them as just DD/trail combo tires and not messing around with swapping. The 315's seem tiny now and get my rpm's too high at speed.

How are they wearing? Any more reports on the tire? Mine are on backorder for 20 more days AGHHHH! Mine will be DD/trail as I usually put on less than 5K miles a year....:grinpimp:

looks killer...how would you compare to say an MT/R?

What kind of rear bumper is that?

P.S. Just curious: where in MA are you? or am I misreading the plates?

not sure if this was answered but Randy and I both belong to Yankee Toys and there are a few of us located in the Boston area... www.yankeetoys.org check it out and join!

the tires are wearing well... slightly louder than normal and they do rub pretty well... actually looking for a 33" that might night rub as much.

I probably have 5k on my Toyos now. They will have about 10k on them by the end of the month. They are wearing quite well. I think faster than a BFG AT. But much better than a BFG MT. I've never owned an MTR other than for a spare, so I can't compare wear to them. They don't seem to chunk like my BFG MTs did. I"ve run a lot of the same trails and some that were worse as far as what would tear up the tires. The sidewalls are about as good as it gets unless you want to run a Swamper. I have zero cuts or abrasions in the sides. I run about 10psi in them on the the trail. I'm running the 315s which are big by 315 standards. Might be the tallest 315 around? Swamper calls theres 35s and 36s. I'm happy with them. The one thing that would prevent me from buying them again would be the price and availability. The price jumped quite a bit right after I bought them.
