I'm pretty sure my issue is meds related and that it will stop once this course is over. I don't want to throw another med (ambien) at the problem. I tried melatonin awhile back but can't remember what it was doing to me before I stopped it. I'm the guy who's the .01% of the population who gets the really rare side effects of meds. CBD has been suggested by a few people for both my sleep and other problems but I haven't looked into that yet.

Side note: Sarah was taking Ambien for a while a few years ago. She disappeared around 11pm one night. Left her phone and the cars at home. I found her an hour later. She'd been about 1/2 mile away picking weeds in the middle of somebody's lawn.

Yeah they used to give us ambien at work to help with jet lag but I never took it because I have seen some crazy s*** when dudes took it.
i take melatonin gummies. Why would that cause side effects?our bodies produce it.
I have heard that if taken for long periods that your body might stop producing it but I don’t Think my body was ever producing with how little sleep I used to get.

I'd say give CBD a try...... the only problem with CBD is they are all fairly different. I tried taking it for issues I was having but it didn't seem to do much for me and at its price, although it has come down a bit since then, I wasn't going to do the try another one every month approach. Find a company that knows their stuff that can tailor make it for you.

I may give mine another go and actually go into one of the higher rated pot shops around here to talk to their expert on the matter. It does have a lot of healthy side benefits to boot.

Melatonin sometimes helps for me. Its all stress related on my end though so it depends whats going on in life for my sleep to be normal.

One more thing to add that I think is pretty important.
regardless of what medication you tryto help with sleeping issues.
the most important thing to think about is stress.
One of the biggest issues that I had was my obvious work related stress. Practicing to shut your mind off is the best thing to do for better sleep. It took me a long time and lots of practice to learn to do this. Again, developing a routine helps with this. Anyway, I am sure you know most of this stuff. Just trying to help since I dealt with this for a long time.

Have you referenced the bourbon thread?

Arrrggghhhh! I spent over a decade being able to pay attention to a band on stage while taking a nap. There was sometimes no alternative for time to get sleep so it was rather important that my brain could pay attention and notice if something wasn't right with my gear. I was fairly proud of having reached that point but it's probably not helping my problem now. I swear I'm sometimes up for hours because I heard a coyote or a dog. The last year or so of camping has been brutal to me with that. I used to be able to sleep soundly through anything, prior to my last job. Sarah has always had that gift.

Thanks to all for the suggestions and info.

@afgman786 This is fairly common when it gets wet inside but doesn't have enough ventilation to help it dry out, especially when it's under a cover. Keep a bottom vent open if you have one.

Huh.. first time its ever happened to me. But I also wasn't the last person to use it and it does look like the hole that's supposed to be at the bottom was covered

Have you looked into becoming Amish? All steel, no rubber on their tractors. Also you get a cool hat, and the beard would look good on you I think.

:) actually made me laugh Adam.

I lived 30 miles from Lancaster PA for 35 years. Grew up taking trips to "Amish Country" even attended and worked at 3 barn raisings in my early 20s. Very interesting way of life indeed. I'll just go get the new tire today and hang on to my modern "English" way of living.

Blew through two new cv's on laura's car in the past 5 days. Separating at the slip. Figured the first was defective, but nope. Turns out three of the four motor mount bolts on the passenger side broke, allowing enough movement that the cv's come apart when going through dips in the road. Whole subframe has to come out to get to them. Yay.

I have a long weekend off from work so I took off on a 500 mile trip to my mom's house in the 60...first long trip since doing all the work under the hood. 2 days before I leave, my clutch master cylinder starts leaking all over the floorboard. I jumped on RockAuto and order a new OEM CMC and slave cylinder, then pay the extra $10 to make sure they arrive at my mom's house on Friday so I have time to replace them. The CMC shows up, but not the slave. FINALLY get a real person on the line from FEDEX and they inform me it was marked as delivered....no f'ing sh*t "Paul", who sounds suspiciously Pakistani, I can see that on my iPhone! Eventually get the local office and they track down the driver. He says he accidentally delivered it to a neighbor's house, mistook an 8 on the mailbox as a 3....wrong answer a$$hole...the houses on this court are only numbered 1-5. We all know each other and nobody has a package with my name on it. "We'll figure this out and call you back"....crickets for the rest of the day.

The SC isn't critical at this point and I got the CMC changed and bled no problem (except for the sudden 3 minute downpour I got while doing the job), but I wasted an inordinate amount of time today due to incompetence....I loathe blatant incompetence and poor customer service.

All the bad drivers can eat my ass; I don't discriminate

When I first moved to Charlotte the bad drivers there shocked me. First time into SC, I decided to give Charlotte drivers a break lol.

Last month I picked back up my complaints on bad and slow drivers there. :)
