Total change of direction decided I was tired of a stationary oven in the garage taking up space so built a cabinet on casters for it. Will get back to the 45 Sunday. Even put handles on it so club members can come grab it if needed. Will finish wiring it later.

When I mounted my steering I didn't have any weight on the front either. After I put the motor and the tranny in and a winch on the front I could have moved mine back about a inch or so.

Not any turning back now need to trim my plates, finish drilling thru frame, cut dom tube/sleeve and burn it in.

Your box did seen a tad forward after looking at all the others. However, flip your front springs and you will be set! I flipped them on my 40 and it really helped approach. Im not going gonzo on this ride so they stay where they are.

I love it when a plan comes together. Need to finish burning in and clean a couple welds.

Had to put on the welding jacket to do the bottom. Need to paint the brackets on the frame, get longer than stock 60 ps mount bolts, paint the box and tie rod and about done with this section. Motor soon!

Nice! Were you able to keep everything square? How much clearance did you give your sleeves around the bolts?

Not much clearance in sleeves. I can mic them out tonight. Everything is square, that's what tac welds are for, test fitting, a welding magnet and a magnetic square. cut the sleeves short so I could fill them into the frame and plate. Had to ream one DOM tube after welding apparently had a sloppy moment.
I need to go get some grade 8 bolts, the stock FJ60 bolts are a tad short to fit with the plate.
Old 64 era radiator U will need a touch of clearancing. I"m pretty sure the newer radiator holders are much thinner than the old ones.

Did some upgrades to the lighting in the garage and tossed some paint on a few things. Drivetrain donor should be delivered soon.

Steering box mounted. Built a relay rod for now. Sleeved the original and plug welded it. Swept the garage and spun the frame around to prep for donor drivetrain delivery.

Drivetrain donor arriving tomorrow. Had to go thru the checklist. Spectator seating, check. Keg of beer, check. Extra shelf space for stuff, check. Extra space in garage so I can hopefully still get matrix in side with an FJ62 in line, check. Now to patiently await delivery.

Keg isnt floating but motor is in! Trans will be spare extended h42 till i finish the h55 on the shelf. Need to test fit trans next to see what clearance is needed for the cab. Ignore the bowl of chili. Apparently jenn thought i needed something other than beer.
