I struck out on the first rivnut tool not having the right size so looking for another to borrow. Thanks!

Has anyone ever considered getting set up with a Nitrogen tank and the right regulators to charge shocks? Maybe someone with a permeant home shop setup and maybe 3 or 4 members could pitch in for the set up. I have seen where a few people use ebay regulators and a used tank filled from a welding supply. I think it can be put together for less than a few hundred dollars.

I only bring this up because I just rebuilt my forks on my dirt bike and am in the process of doing the rear shock. With a few special tools the rear shock is actually very simple once you know what you are doing. Obviously each shock has its individual nuances. But for example I have Radflo shocks on my truck that really should be rebuilt periodically. last time I did it it cost me about $150 EACH way to ship them last time plus the rebuild charge. I think parts are only like $60 a shock. Not to mention about 3 weeks of down time which is the real killer. It really is a skill we should all be proficient with. Its absolutely easier than say a valve adjustment or a maybe even a Birfield job.

Yes you can get a shop to do the nitrogen. But I have spent 3 days calling people, playing phone tag and was about to drive 3 hours each way to get nitrogen put in my shock. I finally found a local guy that was willing to do it.

If I had a permeant shop/living situation I would buy this all myself. Now that I have done it myself once I recognize that it is a little challenging but totally doable with some care and the right tools.

Yeah and getting shocks shipped out and rebuilt is still pretty expensive

I potentially would be game as the “spot” and buying the stuff. Have a couple permanent spots. Super busy this time of year. No time for the leg work. But a shop full of Toyotas that get used. I have a few sets of fox off armored hiluxs / 200s I’ve been planning for years to rebuild for less weight than armored rig. Plus a couple icon setups at that time it’s not a bad idea. Got some kings too that are showing age. Not leaking yet. But definitely could get used and let get used. To much in and out at spot I’m thinking of for rigs to be worked on. But space for the bits to get rebuilt / charged potentially.

Does anyone have a tube beading tool? Looking to bead some 5/8" and 3/4" aluminum tubing for coolant fittings.

I've got a stubborn rear axle race I am needing to press on. All my tricks have come up about 1/2" short. Anyone have a press I could seat this thing with?

I have one too

Got it sorted thanks. Tried tossing it in the freezer overnight and it slid on without much effort.

Thanks Gents!
