What the heck are you guys using for bolts to hold the rim on your tire swing? I installed my Hanna bumper yesterday and it will be ready for the Turkey Sandwich run and so far I have all new hardware except for the bolts for the spare. I bought a cheap $10 key lug kit to keep the spare a little more secured but I can't find a bolt with the correct thread spacing ANYWHERE..... I have been to about 10 stores, see list below, and no one has an M12 - 1.50 - 60.
Home Depot
Lowes
Ace Hardeware
Dixieline
Pep Boys
Napa
Kragen
Mesa Fasteners

As of right now I have the old bolt on but the thread is a bit worn and I don't know how much I would trust it off-road taking some abuse.

OH and here are some cell pics of the bumper as a sneak peak to this weekends run.
Sorry about this first pic looks like I forgot to scale the vertical length the second time I scaled down the pic.

John, I got your V-mail and it sounds like Marshalls has them and they are just around the corner so I should be getting them after work. Thanks again.

Dave, if Marshalls inventory list was wrong then I will give McFadded a try.

That Bumper is pimp! I have wanted a Hanna rear for quite some time. When the fund are avail., it will be interesting to see which route I go now that I am all the way across the country!

Ooooooo. That is "pimp". You scored!

The Hammerite gray turned out nice.

The guy I bought it from couldn't find the license plate holder that went into the middle of the spare tire. And when I called up Ken for all the pieces I needed to replace he no longer did the license plate like that. Now he gives you a bent aluminum stick that moves it out from behind the tire. So I purchased those bolt led's and spliced them into the wiring for the stock license plate light. I also removed the stock bulbs so I wouldn't have light glowing behind the tire. But I almost screwed up the paint job when I lowered the tail gate last night, fortunately I checked the clearance otherwise I would have nicked the paint with the plate. But a little bend to the plate took care of the clearance issue.

If you don't have to have them by t-giving, call CDan. He stocks them, they are black (which is nice) and IIRC they are around $2/each.

Too bad it isn't an M10 X 1.50 X 60. I think that I have a couple hundred at the shop right now. I'll check tomorrow for a 12mm.

I checked McFadden but I might have to call, the online catalog didn't list it tho. I just got off of bolt depot and there full thread 12mm hex bolt stopped at 50. I need 60 or more.... Well this experience is teaching me a whole bunch about bolts and if I ever need to find a bolt in the future I know of a bunch of places to go now.

Ignore this, I am an idiot:idea:. Carry on without me. Good Luck!

Sorry, struck out again. All I have is M12 X 1.75 X 60MM at the shop:frown:

I'm sure sombody must make the bolt you need. If you thread the balance of a partially threaded bolt, it will be very prone to rust. If you end up with no other choice, make sure you paint or coat the bolt with some grease or it will end up causing you grief.

Or just run a different bolt with a nut and call it good. Why do you "need" to use factory stud/nuts? Not like you're gonna take them to the axles and use them there. They're just gonna be used where the spare is. Find a 3/4" nut that will work on a bolt of proper size.

Searching last week I had found a die for, I think, $9 but now all I can find are $50 dies so that is kinda making me think of just using a normal nut and bolt and trying to find a small lock and cable. Thanks for the heads up on the problems associated with dies.
