Tire size dilemma

So, I ordered 32x11.50 BFG KM2's and I'm having second thoughts about going up one more size to the 33x10.50's. The price difference is very small, but I'm having a tough time making a decision. The rig is my daily driver.

Personally I think the 33x10.50's look better and should give you a little less rolling resitance.

Good choice on the 33's. I faced the same decision a while back and opted for the 33x9.5x15's(A/T's). Forget the 32's and enjoy.

That is stupid money for those tires. Discount lists them for $204 for the MT, and $161 for the AT.

I've never heard of these guys. TireRack.com did nothing for me and was actually more than Discount. Assuming mounting is less than $35/tire locally, these guys are way cheaper.

Ok, so I found the wheel I want.. Is a backspacing of 3.75 bout right for 33's with a 2" lift?

I payed 150 per tire for my 33X10.5 BFG MT's at Costco... but that was 3 years ago.

i really wished i got the BFG MT's the AT's are good and all, but SUCK in the mud

You mentioned 3.75 bs which means you probably have ifs. If you are going for a narrow 33x10.5 tire then keep your stock wheels If you have the 7" rims. They are stronger and will stuff better. I would only bother with the 8" rockcrawler wheels for 12.5" wide tires. An 8" rim with 3.75" bs on an ifs truck will stick out some and require you to trim fenders and firewall a bit. Or drive it on the trail and let the tire get some custom siping by the fenders while bending the sheetmetal into position to be cut off. At least on a 93 body style.

Appreciate the info. I have 31x10.50's on the truck now, I would like to keep them on the wheel so I can swap in the 31's for daily driving.

Funny this thread shows up now. I just bought some new/used 32x11.5 MT's last night. I love the tire! Good choice either way. Definitly changes the gear ratio's though and I notice it the most in first gear at a stop and then when shifting into 5th. I went with the 32's because of the deal I got on them. I couldn't find a nice set of 33's and I'm too cheap to buy new. Post pic's when you get it all set up!
