Any little kids coming? I'll be bringing my 4.5 year old daughter.
My brother and I were originally planning on riding from packer saddle down to Downieville, but the Mills Peak trail looks good too.Anyone have any specific MTB plans? I'll probably do a shuttle on Thursday before anyone shows up, but I'd be pretty stoked if anyone wanted to get together for a Mills Peak shuttle later.
a leg on the front bumper and a baby on the back
LOL. This only makes sense to me because I've seen your rig before.
Whats the length of Mills Peak? I'm going to be a little tired from driving up on Friday but I'm still game for a lap or two.El Machino, is that ride plan for Friday? If there are three of us, we could run the shuttle three times and each drive once and ride twice. It's surely worth riding twice. It's all DH; almost zero climbing.
We should use 146.460 and switch to 146.400 if necessary for a Saturday run.
IIRC there are several 2m machines in the area. One near Quincy, others on Fredoner peak in honey lake valley. The high level Mt. Rose 147.150 pl 123 is a good coverage machine. Also from up top on the ridge, between jameson and the buttes LO, there is a high sierra machine and can get the info tonight if interested. wide coverage on the latter. from up top easy to work into the sac area. What ham frequency should we be using? Does @KWalkerM know of the repeaters in the area?
Someone please sit down with me at camp and help me go over using my ham radio. I tried reading and watching videos but I need to be shown in person. It would be really appreciated.
@93yotasr5 When are you going to add Chucky? Lmao.
