Ugh. I'm really hoping I can save this tub. Opinions?

Ah, I guess it was a while ago that I last posted. I also removed several other interior parts, along with the windshield several weeks ago.

My goal is to have the frame isolated this month so that I can start rebuilding it from there. I believe I've decided to go with media blasting (possibly onsite?) and then POR-15, so that I can continue to cut or grind on it(for things like power steering, if I choose). If I do anything else to the frame I'll just retreat it with POR-15 in that area. I chose this protectant over acid dipping and galvanizing, which, from what I understand, pretty much require that the frame be in finished form.

Also, for those of us that wonder about the cost and time requirements, I've got a nifty spreadsheet I’ll keep referring to.

Time Spent: 36 hours so far. I'm taking my time, taking lots of photos, and consulting multiple manuals and sources as I move through the pieces.
Cost: No money spent specifically on the FJ40 so far.

Nice!! Looks like we are in about he same spot on our projects.

Whats the plan for your old lift? I am interested in the springs. I am just down in Portland.

I would think with some effort the body is worth it. But thats just me!

I was wondering if they were worth selling. I had to cut the u-bolts. I have the rest of it. I’ll be buying a new set of OMEs. Let me know your thoughts!

I think with some effort I can get those looking pretty good. I always use new ubolts when mounting springs. Its just good practice. Let me know how much. We can discuss via PM too and I will send you a message!

Thanks to Bryce @cruiseroutfit (ters) for answering my questions and sending out a whole bunch of goodies for my front and rear axles! Rebuild kits, knuckle kit, and a rear ARB locker! I'm so excited to be at the point where things start getting fixed.
