What part of Colorado is that?

I 70 @ Morrison exit right above Golden.

In other news! 3 link suspension design is underway!!!!!

Windsheild Washer Resevior and new ECU have arrived.

Pulled the engine out and one of my motor mounts I replaced last winter was already broken in half! WTF... No it was not OEM but seriously how does that happen in like 6 months? Is there a better alternative.

Anyway here are the progress photos.

Were you able to obtain a "new" ecu?
If so where?

it was used pulled from a wrecked FZJ 80. Just like this one.

Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80 Engine Control Computer 89661-60170 1FZ-FE 93 94

I just made sure that my part number matched up and that I carefully ready the description so that I knew that the donor vehicle was running. If the description didnt say then I asked the seller, e-bay protects the buyer very well.

Are you looking for an ecu?

Im considering a rebuild by Slee and with the $$$ I am thinking I should have a bu of key unavailable electronics
Are there any others you know of
Just 1 ecu?
Saw an ebay one for 3x your expense and sent a few questions

If your ecu isn't showing signs of failure I wouldn't spend the money on one. I replaced mine because it was evident that someone had been inside of it at some point.

Yea there is just one ecu, their ebay pricing is kind of all over the board. I don't think there is anything better about one going for 70 vs one for 300, as long as they tell you its a functioning unit.

Progress:
  • Replaced my front LCA bushings (working on three link setup to replace the radius arms)
  • Flushed the A442F transmission with Merc/Dex because it was acting weird? made popping noises when engine was off... and the shifter was acting strange. I figured perhaps there was water in the fluid, also it did register high on the dipstick. Did 4 drain and fills so we'll see how it reacts.
  • Drained and filled center and rear diff fluids
  • Found out my rear driveshaft that was recently rebuilt is toast... :(
  • Oil change with Zinc additive.
  • Replaced OME 2.5" heavies + spacers with 4" TJM's
  • Rebuilt Rear brake calipers
  • Almost rolled it over on an obstacle..... you know normal s***...
And here's why you shouldn't buy cheap bushings:

On rig 12/15 removed 10/16 (should've been sooner)

Pressed new bushing into my front lower control arms, Panhard bar bushings, rebuilt the rear driveshaft again, started my 3 link build and made a custom rear adjustable panhard bar. onward and upward...

Plans to run a jam nut on that track bar?

You would have to make 2! One for you and one for me since I helped with that engine ;)

 I could redo all of my brakes and knuckles and bearings for that much
