would like a lighted switch to where i could wire into the dash lights and close the circuit for the switch illumination through the ground3

active on switch means it lights up when on and the light goes out when off correct? i was explaining how id have to wire it up for the light to work since my switch application would not have a power input only closing a circuit to ground.

do you have anything like this
that only says "off" "on" and lights up green when activated?

ordered off of aliexpress just search switch and 70/80 series,

also used scion omnium switch just have to clip off the clips so it fits the dash with a dikes.

Does anyone know if it is possible to relabel these "in-lay" style switches? I don't mean cover them up with a graphic, but actually remove the in-lay and install a new one. Is the in-lay glued in place?

On actual Toyota switches they are removable. I’ve relabeled several defrost switches. Just carefully pry up the label with a razor. The label has pretty low strength adhesive holding it in.

Did you use any solvent to loosen the adhesive? Goo Gone? Rapid Remover? TakeOff?

Obviously I don't want to damage the plastic switch itself. But most of my donor switches are in good condition and I have been mangling the edges trying to get the inlay out.

Yes you can. I have done it many times before. It is held in there by adhesive only around the edges. Once you pop it out you see down into the switch and where the bulb is.

No solvent. Just pop off the label being careful not to damage the switch. The label will have all the adhesive on it so you’ll have to put something sticky on the new label to keep it in place.

Update on the Switch Boss switches from Australia. I ordered two. They weren't terribly expensive, but I guess I got what I paid for. The wiring on them is super thin (you need to use a relay with them for sure), and more disappointingly, the etching on the switch is almost impossible to read in daylight. It needs to be way thicker. In this pic they're more visible than they are in real life.
