Sweet looking rig! Do you have a link where you purchased those headlights? Thanks

Check with @ranma21 to see if he has any left. These headlights are definitely hard to come by now days!

Truck looks great Stephen! Any hunting trips on it so far?

How tough was that 1 inch body lift?....I’ve read that it’s not a good idea on these 100’s due the steering column binding and rubbing and other issues. If it wasn’t a problem I would love to do it and get some 35’s. What was the price tag for the body lift?

Most only need to go with around 1/2" body lift. I would suggest fabbing your own kit out of HDPE sheet (sourced from mcmaster) using a hole saw. If you go with the 1/2" lift you don't need to get longer hardware either

The body lift was not a fun job, but definitely doable. The kit we used came with a steering shaft spacer and spacers for the radiator.

Hi Duc-Good to hear from you. Congrats on expecting your first baby. I was able to take my cruiser to my friends ranch recently for the weekend. I am amazed how awesome my cruiser did off-road. Hopefully I will be able to join a weekend off-roading with BCC soon. Hoping to do some upgrades with you soon for Phase II of my build. Will be in touch. Stephen

Saw a slight seepage this week at the front of my T-Case where it meets the front prop shaft.

Going to get the T-Case front outer seal replaced to fix this issue.

Picked up the OEM seal at my local dealer. Not necessary, but bought 2 new dust deflectors, new bolts-washers-nuts to update while getting seal replaced.

Planning a transmission fluid exchange and hose update for my 100 series. All hoses on my 99 are original.

-Picked up 12 quarts of Mobil 1 Syn ATF

-Adding a BG Products ATF Conditioner with Fluid Exchange

-Going to drop the transmission pan and reseal with Toyota FIPG. Saw a very slight seepage of trans fluid from the pan in one little spot. Going to get this corrected now for good measure and peace of mind.

While I have the trans pan dropped, going to replace the strainer as well with a new one.

All hoses for my 99 are original according to service records. Radiator was replaced at Toyota dealer at 193k, however they kept original coolant hoses.

Planning a complete hose replacement project. Going to use all OEM coolant hoses

Going to start with coolant hoses first!

-Coolant Flush with Toyota Red Coolant

-Replacing Upper, Lower, and By-Pass Coolant hoses

-Replacing 6 heater hoses (switching out my brass heater t’s to aluminum, also going to use Breeze stainless constant torque clamps for connections with aluminum t’s)

-Replacing oil cooler Hoses

-Replacing trans cooler Hoses

-Also new OEM Thermostat and Gasket while Coolant Flush and Hoses are being changed

Fan clutch was replaced at 155k, tensioner and serp belt at 193k. All done at Toyota dealer.

Looks like the idler pulley is original, so going to swap that out with a new OEM as PM.

The Front AC drip line on the 100 drips right on to the frame and front passenger stabilizer bar bracket.

I live in Houston so AC runs almost all the time. The constant water drip onto the stabilizer bar bracket is starting to put some rust on the bracket bolts.

Saw another Mud member that extended his AC drip line as well.

Bought 3/8 ID fuel line and 3/8 brass elbow Barb. Used a plastic zip tie to tighten the joints. Ran the hose straight down next to the stabilizer bar bracket and past the frame and torsion bars.

Next to my stabilizer bracket, there was a small hole and that were I used a zip tie to secure it at the bottom.

No more drips on the bracket or frame!!!

Updated front suspension with new SPC UCA’s back in December 2017.

The ball joints on the lower control arms need replacing. They were original to my records.

Cruiser Outfitters got me supplied with some new Sankei 555 Japanese Ball Joint for LCA and 4 new OEM LCA bushings.

Outer Tie Rods were original as well. Updating them with new OEM outer tie rods.

Also ordered new extened front sway bar links from Trail Taylor. Going to put these on along with new OEM sway bar bushing, OEM sway bar brackets, and OEM sway bar bushings.

OEM CV Boots have less than 8k miles on them and steering rack is still solid and no leaks (was replaced at 106k at Toyota Dealer). Front end should be good to go after these updates.

God lord that's a lot if OEM replacement and PM

My wallet is hiding in gear just reading all this hoping I dont get any ideas :hillbilly:

Be sure to plan some wheeling trips in between all this:cheers:

But if that is the original 99 diff in there I'd be sure to upgrade is with a locker. Those two opinion diffs are week. I bought a tjm picker as my first mod. It would be on top of my list for you with those big meats.

Thanks lt1fire! I am pretty OCD when it comes to PM.

Definitely have plans to upgrade the Front Diff with a locker soon and upgrade to 4:88 gears as well.

Ordered the OEM Reman 100A Alternator and got it today. Plan on installing soon. My alternator is the original 80A that came with the vehicle. Original still works fine. Will probably have it rebuilt for a back up.

Also got to change the bushings on my steering rack. Ones on their now are original. Picked up the Whiteline kit.

I installed new bushings on rear stabilizer bar and upgraded to Trail Taylor extended sway bar links. Forgot to order new bushings where sway bar bolts to the links. Will be swapping these out as well.
