Well the rust bucket was a total steal in the end. He could not have bought the bumpers for what he has in the whole deal.

I’m so happy because I picked up a super clean 2001 the same week he took delivery of the rust bucket that was had a hole in the drivers seat.

I snuck by and swapped seats with him.

The seat was spider webbed but not torn anywhere.

I also am getting a blinker housing and a nice steering wheel off if it.

Great find. I’m 100% stoked about the project.

Also @USMC22 gets to put a real motor in his 80 series in the end.

Yikes...

Yikes, cool you got some reusable bumpers and sliders though :)

All sorts of stuff is saveable. Everything slee is getting reused. Even the rear springs. They cleaned up great. Same with dif drop and skids. The Full skid protection from slee isn’t cheap eiether. So nice to save it.

Awesome find on the "Slee'd out" rust bucket! Equally awesome find on the locked 99! That color of blue is one of my favorite LC colors.

The blue is hard to find down south for some reason. Luckily I snagged two!

by far, the worst rust I've ever seen on a UJZ-100. that is some serious rot.

Can't you just see the Autotrader ad though? "A little surface rust, but solid".

Exactly! When I bought it I knew it was rusty and the guy was straight up about it, but it was described as crusty and I can't get a hammer through the frame.. Haha

That reminds me, I need to check when I had my last tetanus shot.

Nice "part out" thread.

I thought the same thing pulling all this off. It left piles of rust in my drive way....

I should thank the previous owner for doing to severe corrosion testing on our coatings. I am pretty pleased the parts still looked that good considering the rest of the truck.

Yeah it was amazing how well your powder held up. Only where it was damaged during install did it creep in.

great project!! two gems in their own rights. The finished cruiser will look NICE
