Almost everything I can see over the main body of the lake, due west and north (the white houses are across our cove), is SCDNR Wildlife Management Area; it'll never be developed! And I probably saw only 15-20 boats from last Tuesday through today (Sunday). Even the summer holidays weren't overly crowded here. There are no public launches on my east side to the north...that helps a lot.

Any time. 7.5 hours from 1600 Penn Ave to the lake. Even has electric for an RV (I should probably test that circuit). Just get there before we start AirBnB'ing it, lol.

Oh, and I made sure to get a bay boat that only has one seat. Big enough for 3 or 4, but I like my solitude! BTW, finally got it back from the engine repair guy. I hear it runs great now but he didn't tell me I need a new tank until I picked it up last week. Still a chance to get it on the water in 2021. Now to find a deal on a trolling motor that fits...

There is actually a really good market for airBnBing for RV hook ups.
We have a family friend that does that and has pasture for horses so people travelling with a RV and/or horses can stop for a day or two relax let the animal(s) run free for a bit and then get back on the road.

I almost went to wally world or target to look for one but didnt have time so snagged a cheapishly priced one off ebay.
