Surprisingly clear, even after the three Car Bombs!

All I see is an oil leakin 2F
Dude, that fxxxing thing. I have done everything but weld it shut and it still leaks.

Notice the axle is pushed back four inches or so where the spring center pin sheared. Still drove it home three hours. :steer: :flipoff2:

toyota FIPG black, coat both sides of the gasket, and put a good bead on the corners and around the bearing caps and just snug it on, let it sit over night then torque down. only reason I know this is I went thru 3 gaskets the first time I did a oil pan gasket. I have done 4 since and no leaks so far other than the pan rotting out under the skid.

I did exactly that. I also replaced the front main, rear main, timing gear cover and side cover. I went through all the steps and was meticulous. It is now leaking more than it ever did and leaking so much from everywhere I can not even see from where.

I think is is leaking mostly from the rear main and the seal behind the timing gear flex plate.

When I went to do all the above work last year, I was nearly unable to remove the oil pan it was so well secured with the FIPG.

You must not be holding your mouth right

Ah I see, you broke the pin that holds the spring pack together. :( when I did my soa with aal's I just used a socket head bolt.

I have a shim in there so I ordered some of the extended head bolts. I also ordered a flip kit for the front but they are back ordered for weeks :bang:

I exchanged messages with lcwizard and Dave says he can not get his machine chop to fit him in so looks like the truck will be down for a couple months.

Use a grade 8 bolt and bolt the shim in with the spring pack. quick fix to get you back on the road then swap u bolts when you can get them.

Yeah, I have used other bolts before. But I will need to take my ubolts loos to get the axle straight. Not sure how the threaded ends on those U Bolts will be. They are pretty beat up. Not a big deal. I can wait. I don't want to take it apart and then not have a roller unless I buy something else.
