Thought you guys might like to see a couple of pics of my new Cruiser. Its a HDJ101K, Japanese import, Turbo Diesel 4 speed Auto. I'm in Australia :)

As purchased (Yes the front bar is fugly ;)

Fugly, but functional. I'd take it. Ship it over here if you need to get rid of it.

;)

Nice rig.

Holy big gray bumper. What is that thing made of? Love the turbo diesel. Congrats.

It's called a Smartbar, made of polyethylene. It's designed to be a bit friendlier to any pedestrians you might hit. It's nice and light which is an advantage, and I guess painted body color or black it might not look so bad but it really detracts from the look of the cruiser. You don't see much of it from the inside but I do see people pointing and laughing ;)

Reminds me of a cow catcher on an old steam locomotive.

Browndog93...nice first post. For that you get the official MUD welcome salute: :flipoff2:

I'd rather be camping like you...than sitting here waiting for the diff fix.

Not a pretty sight Dan, hope you get it fixed soon.

^ if my diff guy was as fast as beno has been getting parts sent to me...then I'd be rolling :)

Hi all.
Pic from last weekends camping.
Looking forward to a more time in the tent next week too
Loving my first Cruiser.

Man, that's some gorgeous country! Welcome to the MUD. Hope you keep posting up pics.

It's humbling here in the states when folks in Oz post pictures of beaches and shoreline.

For us, the chance of finding uncrowded coastal areas is a bit more difficult.

No such problem in Australia, right?

Yeah, we're pretty spoiled over here with our population to coast ratio. This particular beach is about 5 miles long until you hit a river mouth. If you backtrack around to get on the other side of the mouth, the beach there is about 100 miles long, you'd be lucky to run into anyone ;)

Slee Heavies in rear....New toyo 295.70.18 AT2 extreme. We have had the truck a year and still my favorite landcruiser I have owned. Wife's DD. Next project it an alum platform in rear

What is that front bumper??? Never seen one before. Is it polyurethane?

Yea that bumper is sweetness.

Australia is the current land of plenty while arkansas is where you get robbed, house broken into twice a year, pay for private school because the public schools are a joke (less than 1/4 caucasian), section 8 housing moving into the only nice part of town left. But we got duck huntin out the wazooo.

Took my new-to-me 2005 LX470 on it's maiden off road voyage.
A quickie boys' trip to Moab. Ran the 3D trail was very pleased with how it handled. Seemed to flex better than anticipated in the mild rocky bits and sucked up all the high-speed rollercoaster I could throw at it. ATRAC kicked in a couple times. Looking forward to getting out on the trail again.

Great looking LX. Also nice to see another Mudder that's been touched by his noodly appendage. ;)
