I am too.

I got my rear upper adjusters welded in and my lowers sleeved. The rear lowers are beef now. I used 1/8 wall to sleeve over the stock arms and drilled rosette holes to strengthen them along the arm. I just ran out of steam, so I still have the panhard adjuster to weld in and RR the bearing/seals on the rear hubs and put everything back together. Once I get that done, I will start on the front.

They are still tinkering with it. They sent the supercharger off to have it blueprinted and engineered for them to start production. Their CNC machinist suffered from a stroke three weeks ago and they are waiting for him to return and finish the manifold. I kind of got a little nervous...L.C. started talking about all the time and energy they had into it and I thought I was going to have to let them keep it instead of paying the bill, but all I owe right now is 100.00 bucks for a factory Toyota head gasket kit. They replaced the head steads and even milled 4 thousandths off at no charge since its been down there a month longer than they thought. The gasket had failed in two different spots.

I just spoke to L.C. last week and they said if it were theirs, they would add two fuel injectors to the supercharger manifold and a controller in the cab to adjust the rpm levels that they come on at. They also want to rebuild and flow match the injectors. All this to a tune of $1500.00 I shudder at the expense, however it's still offset by headgasket being replaced for 100.00 and three months of my time.

I think I am going to do it. What are your thoughts since you know alot more about Toyotas than I will ever.

Jack,

When it comes to the front panhard rod, be careful and slow about the welding process. That rod takes a severe amount of lateral compression/tension force when turning big rubbers aired down. Have D slowly rotate the work while you lay down a seriously hot bead w/o stopping. Crank the machine up high for this one!!

I know the following idea isn't too critical for us Westerners, but I used a bicycle inner tube Picasa Web Albums - A. - Landcruiser p... to cover up the exposed threads on all adj links. This really helps keep the mud/crud/dirt out for future adjustments and re-tightening. Just a suggestion.

Sounds like it is really going to be a runner when you get it back. I like that they are using studs, makes sense with a S/C.

I'm not sure if they have considered it, but a lot of the S/C guys use a Supra fuel pump to push more fuel to the motor. That might eliminate the two additional injectors or at least cut that down to one. I had my injectors flowed and matched when I did the H/G on the Lexus. I would at least do that, some of them can really be out of whack. The good news is that our elevation helps with the detonation that some vehicles suffer at lower elevations. I would probably find out how critical the $1500 dollars of work is. What exactly do you really need, not just what they would like you to have.

I was going to use anti-sieze on all of the threads, but maybe I will see what else I can come up with.

Time for an update.

Well as has been the case with this little project, it went horribly wrong.

First the good: We got the rear third installed and the rear suspension put in. So the rear is pretty much done, I do have to do a few little things to finish to button it up, but it is close.

Now the bad: Started working on the front gears and change the pinion bearing shims. As soon as the inner pinion bearing was pressed out of the housing (under no pressure), the bearing just fell apart. Had to walk away for a while.

Went back a few hours later and installed the front suspension. We have a few things to finish on the lift and it will be done. Just waiting on parts again.

Someday this will end...

Yes it does.

The bearing had been pressed on twice and pressed off once. Still have no idea why it exploded.

I do have pics. I just need to get off of my lazy a$$ and get them uploaded. I will try and do that tonight.

Sorry, they are a little out of order.

First one: Rear lower control arms after being cut and the tubing I used to sleeve them.

Second one: Rosette holes drilled.

1 and 2, Rear diff installed from both sides. Sorry for the low quality, I am using my crappy camera in the garage. You can see a little bit of the upper control arm in #1, with the adjuster welded in.

3, My powder coated wheels with the tires mounted and balanced. The powder coating was a little glossier than I wanted, but oh well, they look good.
