Safety Tip: wasn't certain from the pics, but it looks like you were plasma cutting and welding directly on the concrete - I've had concrete actually blow apart pockets and sent s**t all ovre doing that - Caution is advised.

Welding was done propped up and plasma cutting was done roughly 2" away from the concrete surface because the welding table was full. I have heard of that happening before though, so I'll keep it in mind next time. Thanks brother, I had forgotten about that

On to the exhaust. Here is proof that the exhaust project started a year ago. My brother and I wrapping the down tube. Because this time last year we were running up against the clock to get Shasta ready for Logan's run this is the etent of the "new" exhaust. Ended up attaching the old bits and flex pipe and tabled the exhaust install.

So come full circle and it's out with the old.
Wow this thing was holier than the Catholic Church.

Part of the joy of driving Shata this past year was eau de diesel that was imparted on you clothing after each ride. It was a vicious cycle of too hot for closed windows (with no AC) but to much risk of passing out from the carbon monoxide with windows down. The sacrifices we make, right?

So here is the new hardware being test fit and tacked. Johnny is a bit of an artist in this area.

Now the whole thing goes to the welding table to finish all the welds.

It's done right. 3" from the down pipe back. Eventually I'll be adding a turbo with 3" ports. Three primary sections with v-band clamps make it easy to install and remove if repairs are needed. Also a tip for offroading that does not hang below the frame at all.

And here we are. Finished projects.

Next up? Probably double knuckle rebuild. We'll see. Shasta has a good way of deciding what projects she wants worked on next.

There is something to say for a "welder's tan"

To add, I was about 22-23 and I built a rack for my work truck with a stick welder, wearing a cut sleeves T-shirt. Got a hell of a burn, never again.
