Did you source all the sniper parts yourself or go with a kit? I see the RobbMC tank, know where you’ll mount it yet?

@Skreddy ….ordered PS from Welcome to RobbMc Performance Products - https://www.robbmcperformance.com/
Sniper and a few bits from Holley
Heat intake riser block off plate. Cruiser Outfitters - http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/
most other components from Red Line Land Cruisers - Parts, Restoration, & Service - Toyota FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ80 & More - Red Line Land Cruisers - https://redlinelandcruisers.com/
The PS will go where the current CC sits. New CC will sit on a bracket mounted to heater motor.

Productive morning…been at it since 6am. Disconnected the battery and removed it to give myself some room. Have to take a break now to pick up my son from lacrosse and make a run to the hardware store…
Here is the summary so far.
Power surge is mounted…unfortunately they didn’t ship the fittings and due to the gap between the CC and the PS they all need to be 90s. Hopefully Pensacola Hardware will have them.
Having a problem getting the drain plug out of the block for the O2 sensor. Hoping the hardware store has an adapter so I can place it in this unused temp sensor port

O2 sensor bung is complete…I had to mount it just past where the header connects to the exhaust pipe as this was a good place to make sure it was flush. Getting a drill in there was a terrible PIA.
Heat shield is in place.
Redline adapter mounted using the provided gasket and a little high tack gasket sealant.
Set the sniper and the air cleaner adapters on just to see how they look….they aren’t mounted yet

One more of the heat riser block off plate.
Hardware stored closed at noon…so I’m dead in the water for fuel lines.
Also realized that I don’t have instructions for mounting the throttle cab…they come with the cable if purchased from redline however they were sold out so I ordered from Amazon.
One of the hardest aspects of this job is having terrible near vision.

Spent the afternoon thinking about fuel lines and hunting down fittings. Also learned how to use a flaring tool. Hardline from fuel pump cut, bent 180 in the shape of a U and added a fitting. It is now pointed in the direction of the Power Surge. A filter is required between the fuel pump and PS. It hasn’t arrived yet. Found fittings locally so the Power surge is ready to accept lines. Ordered a M16x1.5 male to 3/8 NPT adapter to fit the Holley temp sensor into my unused temp sensor location. I grew tired of trying to get the drain plug out of the block.
I have a friend, who also owns a 40, coming over tomorrow to help install bilsteins courtesy of @85roktoy.

Bilsteins are installed.. These crusty AF shocks are no longer. One of the rear had zero rubber where it’s mounted. One more rattle gone. 👏 I’m still dead in the water on the sniper until I get instructions for the throttle cable, get temp sensor adapter, and high temp wrap for fuel lines….Should be able to wire it up/fire it up next weekend.

Filter arrived….I have the Power Surge to tank connected.
This is the OEM to PS line with inline filter.…waiting on the high temp wrap to finish.
The PS to sniper and return lines are also finished and waiting on the wrap

Is that little red stubby screw driver a ratchet drive? Where'd ya get it?

@TheHardWay …it isn’t a ratchet drive, but has interchangeable bits.
no idea where it came from

For those installing a sniper and looking for an alternative to the block drain plug temp sensor location I ordered this adapter to go in an unused temp sensor location for $6

Had a little time this evening. Was able to get the throttle cable brackets mounted. Sniper is mounted.
This is obviously my first sniper install however at this point I am impressed with the redline products.
