If it comes loose again, maybe a gasket between distributor and block would create a little extra squish room and holding friction? Glad it sounds like you’ve at least tracked it down. My sniper fires off with 1/4 -1/2 second of starter engagement, hot or cold. It’s amazing!

I put the IH on there to watch it “mush” out to confirm the seat. Many lost F motors because of a poorly seated dissy. It also doubles to keep the silly washer there if you remove the dissy.

As for moving. Lou’s would do that but we tightened the crap out of the clamp and it stopped.

An old guy years ago told me on pinion nuts: big breaker bar and he tightened them until he thought he might S himself, then it’s tight enough.

@wngrog …..have you seen OEM dizzys move? That would explain why I had mine set to 10 degrees then found it somewhat more than 10.

My 40 has truly been held hostage for the last 12 or so days. Construction materials are blocking its exit.
