Installed and 3 of four anchors Completed. Not sure where I’ll put the center Front anchor, maybe just have to get the second drawer. Maybe off the seat bracket for the other side with a hook.
main anchor aluminum bar fit first try, didn’t even have to redrill. Was astonished! Needed 1/8“ shim to clear the tailgate, I have tilted my tailgate up with shorter cables to clear rear bumper.
found a plywood scrap That was nearly big enough For the box rear cover. The jump seat comes down too On passenger side if needed. About 3/4” to middle seat all The way back and reclined how it is normally.
will work on the L track and wing tomorrow.
so far 60 mm bolts have worked as anchors, but actual Sizes unshimmed are 60mm, 50mm, 40mm. was almost able to reuse the 25mm on the side but just a bit too short to catch threads.

Have you considered the stackable reef?
Yeah, had it in my cart too last week. The incremental savings for shipping wasn't that much, and the tall side was $50 more, so I decided to get one only and see how that worked out. If I end up constrained to just the one side, I think I'd rather have a pull-out platform for the second level; I may also build a 'camp kitchen' type box at some point, which wouldn't fit in a 3 high stack.
I'm not at all convinced that I need the other 3rd row seat; it has been several months since anyone sat back there (of course, Covid), but the kids seem to strongly prefer the 2nd row 'crowded' vs 3rd row stretched out. So it's more likely a horizontal solution will be the final configuration.
I may just build the 2nd drawer or a cubby for the other side. The Reef was half curiosity/learning on how it was put together, half trying to save time, half trying to be reasonable on cost, and definitely low weight compared to the metal based options played a large role. I could cobble together a 2x2 and plywood similar drawer and case pretty quickly to complement.

Do you wish you'd stacked up on your drawers?

Yes, but dog ruled that out. Been thinking about a trekboxx-style attic above my fridge for some additional storage. Another idea borrowed from the Suburban crowd would be to cover up one of the windows for shelving/cubbies:

I had a flashing center diff light (only) the last couple startups. I looked on here and it seems it's usually temporary. I drove about 10 blocks, and reset the DTCs. Had a L4 position code, and rear ABS sensor code. Codes didn't come back. Code needs to stay away, mountains for sure this weekend.

Templated the wing. Also forgot to check if the fridge was going to fit. Yep. Deciding if I want to pull out the router for two little hinge cutouts or not. . . .

Anecdotal evidence: Ive been exercising mine every time I hit dirt this year even if only a few miles. So far no issues.

what's the weather been like?

Weather normal, no big temperature swings. No reason I can think of . . . I've been switching it every couple weeks for a few minutes, and had it in and out of diff lock and 4lo for extended time a couple weeks ago too. It's just the diff lock light, not the typical diff, VSC ABS flashing one gets when the 4Lo switch won't engage. I haven't had any sticky symptoms for a year at least . . .It was off after I did the DTC reset, but came back on the next restart after I was out of techstream. I'll take a look at the indicated ABS sensor (I have a spare already I think), and poke around underneath tomorrow. I am hoping not rats.

Hadn't used my router in a bit. Kids don't like the loud power tools. I have a hand router but recently redid some storage and misplaced the cutter. Took a bit to get back in the groove, but got one hinge done.

Moved the stuff over from the 'drawer' to the drawer. Not as much extra space as you'd think for all the extra volume.

Winged up. Working on the front cover sometime soon, using cardboard for now. Not for a couple days. Have some rotopax stuff to go with for version 2, might have to get the toaster welder out.
Today had one diff flashing out of three starts.

Is it usually the first start of the day when it happens?

Same as me, only diff light flashing. Nothing else. Rebooting the rig makes it go away.

No pattern yet. Haven’t seen this exact light Before. Not great isn’t a dtc Stored. Mine doesn’t go away on off/ on cycle. Either it is there at first start or it isn’t. driving about 5 min will usually get it off on restart.
i hate stuff like this. Makes me wish for a good old lever or wire or chain to lock diffs and switch ranges.

Next up exhaust tip!
All you need is a 90 and a tip in 3”.
Amazon didn’t have a black option with a good clamp so I have shiny stainless.

How have you liked the side dump? I don't plan on rock crawlin', but I've seen a lot of people say this can get in the way?

I suppose it could get shelved. Any back exit also runs that risk unless your bumper has a cutout (or you're terminating before the bumper) and I don't recall any bumpers with a cutout. It's short and on a hanger, I don't think much damage done by the shelving if it were to happen. Being close to the tire I think minimizes issue for that quite a lot.
Otherwise no issues, not scarring the paint or making the interior smell, so all good there.
Make sure to leave room for mudflaps, I wish I had another 1/2" behind my wheel for that.

I suppose it could get shelved.

"Shelved" as in descending an obstacle and landing on the pipe? I think the convenience of not having it rear exit outweighs the risk of that happening to me. Thanks for the flap advice, even though mud flaps are for sissies :)

Yeah, that's what I meant, where you are departing a 90 degree or steep obstacle and go from tire to rear bumper sliding.

I like mud flaps for not graveling anyone who is behind, but they don't fit so oops.

Succeeded in finding a campsite between Ellensburg and Wenatchee which is on a creek. Mosquito pressure low. Nice secluded site 75 feet below the road. The site is in the burned forest we visted a couple weeks ago, so lots of dead trees around, and lots of available firewood. There is a joining of two water systems nearby so, lots of creeks to play in, if you can get thru the deadfalls and nettle. Kids report water cold.
