How many of the ladies can pull the slide back and release it?

one thing some ladies have problems with is pulling back the slide or releasing the slide. so there for the gun is useless. My princess will be getting a revolver. probably a .38

My wife had trouble with the slide on the Bersa .380 and also the Glock 21. She also had trouble with limp wristing steming from carpal tunel on both sides.

She chose to go with a revolver. Ruger SP101 .357 mag and loves it. That thing has some punch and she grins every time she shoots it.

That's awesome! I love to see women shoot and enjoy it!

Oh yeah, Heather is the one that brought up the idea of getting into cowboy action shooting. She also wants to try mounted shooting as well. Right now her latest "want it" gun is a Henry Golden Boy

I will soon be in the market for a fairly serious target 22lr, preferably with a bull barrel. i am hoping to stay under 500$...if you hear of any nice deals please let me know...

you talking rifle or pistol? I tell you it's hard to beat a Ruger 10/22. Everyone should own one of those.

Well I picked up a new toy last night. Been looking for a plinker pistol for some time. Always liked the Ruger 22/45's and really liked the new Lite other than the mag well design. I also wanted to get one of the threaded barrel versions before any serious ban comes. I just don't see the Libs liking small pistols with suppressors. So I came across this Ruger 22/45 threaded barrel at Colfax G&A yesterday and I made her mine. Now to start the suppressor paperwork. lol. As it turns out I might also be picking up a Mark II stainless slabside in a couple hours from a co-worker. Dude needs money and it was too good a deal to turn down.....hopefully more pics to follow.

The Kimber Rimfire Target or Super is hard to beat, but the $500 limit makes it a tough, if not impossible, find.

The ruger MKIII series are nice, they run from $350-600 depending on the features you want. Great, reliable and relatively inexpensive. I have shot a bunch with the AWC Amphibian which is based off that frame, love it.

I have to say that I do love my S&W Model 41, great target pistol, I'll be adding a Clark's Custom 6.5" barrel on it pretty soon.

I already have a high standard 22 pistol, so i am looking for a match style rifle/ trigger assy. with a nice long barrel, and good iron sights, but with my eyes a scope may be better so I am open to options... I agree the 500$ cap is limiting but this is kinda for Evan.....kinda.... I would gladly pay more for a great gun but I have not the funding...

Hi Standard, now we are talking;). Great .22.

For around 500 the Ruger MKIII Target is a good buy. The Hunter or Competition are really nice, but are $600+:meh:

Well the deal went through. I'm now the proud owner of a ruger mkII slabside also came with a Simmons pro hunter 2-6x32 handgun scope with extended eye relief. I don't plan on using this scope so if anyone is in need lets know. Retail on it is $130.....so make me an offer and we'll work it out. I want to get more of a red dot speed optic sight and do some comp shooting. FWIW if I can get $70 for the scope I'd be happy.

does the sharpie come with the scope?

Nice rugers Eric, my mark II target is my favorite plinker. As far as a red dot for the 22/45, I would recommend a bushnell trs-25 if you don't already have one in mind. I just put one on my 10/22 and love it. Good quality, waterproof, 3 moa dot, small, easy to zero, and very affordable...

Megans got a gun.

well we finally got to spend some time at the range today and decided on the Gen 4 Glock 19. The guns that were in consideration were the Glock 19, Glock 17, Springfield XD, Smith and Wesson M&P and Ruger 9mm. It will be a couple weeks before the buying process even begins as i was place on "the list". I was impressed with the :princess:. Megan had never held a hand gun before today, and below is her first 50 rounds at 10 yards.
