I won't pull this into an academic debate but if you push Reps to give more $$$ to Academics it means higher tuition which is high enough already and not slowing down anytime soon.

Academics and Athletics are VERY related - without Academics there would not be an Athletics department - PERIOD.

It is sad when the Athletics Dept pays out millions to get rid of a coach and that money would have kept tons of Profs on staff for years. I realize that money will not transfer from the Athletic Dept to Academics but it is still part of Clemson University and still embarrassing.

Now I need to go make fun of Clemson Baseball and Basketball... :hillbilly: When is Andy going to start PM'ing me? :grinpimp: :flipoff2:
 
No pushing reps wouldnt mean higher tuition it would mean higher taxes. But then everyone bitches about higher taxes so they dont have the money and have to raise tuition. So instead of everyone paying a little more in taxes just the people who go to school pay a lot more in tuition.

Spreads I saw were 22.5 for the Gators and I took the cocks on that one. 11 for Clemson and I didn't pick it at all. At this point I'll probably just give you $18 not sure Clemson is going to cover to many spreads right now.

Well I'm watching Clemson play today. Great job on uniforms. All orange. Best part is none of it matches. Looks like they need to find a new laundry person or someone who isn't color blind.

Clemson looks like they might beat Duke. I could be wrong.


I would like to go on the record. Raycom sucks. I could do a better job with my camera phone and why in the hell do they have the good cameras at the Clemson game and the crappy cameras and snowstorm coverage for the Georgia Auburn game? I keep thinking I need to adjust my rabbit ears that I don't have.
 
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Former Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin met with Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips last week about the Tigers football opening.

ESPN.com and The State of Columbia, citing sources, say Kiffin and Phillips met in Detroit.

Kiffin has also been mentioned for college openings in Tennessee and Washington.

Phillips declined to talk about the reports through a spokesman, and a call to Kiffin's agent, Gary Uberstine was not immediately returned Thursday.

Clemson is seeking to replace Tommy Bowden, who stepped down last month. Interim coach Dabo Swinney has gone 1-2 since taking over.

The Tigers take on Duke this Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
 
UNC deserved to lose today. THe fact BD refused to replace Sexton who did a terrible job with Yates pretty much sealed our fate. I don't know what he was thinking. What a crappy game.

Thank you for posting 4 day old news. :clap: I hope TDP isn't so stupid as the hire Kiffin the guy is a hack who rode his dad's coattails to where he is right now. Any bum could have coaches the talent USC had to 400 yds/game he didnt do anything but put the ball in the hands of playmakers which was easy since they were all over the field. Soon as he got to a team that wasn't loaded he failed miserably.

How can you possibly consider that a lateral? Lets look at the list I gave again:

-If we pay him more thats clearly better. If they match then its a push.
-Football is clearly #1 at Clemson and not at UNC so thats a point for Clemson
-Our program is loaded with talent that Tommy couldnt produce with definitely more talent then at UNC right now, point Clemson
- Bigger stadium by like 20,000+ seats even if UNC ads the addition they will still be behind. Point Clemson
- We just upgraded all our practice facilities so they are high quality, UNC has good facilities to so this one might be a push.

So again how can you say its a lateral?

Sorry David I had a bunch of good quotes and pics to post the other day but my work blocks mud sometimes depends what it says in the threads. I am looking forward to the game though JP and I will be out tailgating I'll be out early probably 6am JP will be out later because his :princess: has his ball in a jar. A guy I know who played at Clemson in the 70's told me if we win Dabo is the next head coach so this game has all kinds of importance.
 
Richard I seriously doubt you will be out tailgating at 6am. Most of the time your in bed all morning complaining about the 2 beers you drank the night before.:flipoff2::beer::beer:

The latest I have been out this yr is 7am and those games were far less meaningful. I could tailgate you under the table or tailgate so don't try to talk tailgating smack.
 
SO what's on the agenda for Tailgating? There is a lot more to tailgating than siting in a chair and drinking. Well maybe just a little.

Are you gonna have some fried products?
Keg?
Lots of women running around?
Cornhole that is not on board that leans and off center and use socks for the bags?
Will you have someone like Chuck around?
Will you have a tv with satellite?
Giant Clemson Canopy?
