Alright GO TIGERS! we tried to give it to you David we tried really hard. We pretty much sucked up numerous opportunities. But in the end we did what was needed. I'll have you a nice avatar when I get home tomorrow and get back to my computer.
And higher ranked than the top ACC team, 2nd ranked in the SEC... could be first at the end of the year, a 70% winning record against Clemson, a BCS bowl bid, and knowing that a good season like Clemson had would be a disastrous year for UGA.

so neither of us are in our conference championship games and we beat USC but lost to GT; you lose to USC but beat GT ............. we aren't that different my friend
How do you figure that? If we go with current projections you'll be playing lower ranked USC (the real one) who is ranked 9th if you lose to them youll realistically drop to around 14-17 something like that. We are projected to play Arkansas currently 25th if we win we would move up a few spots probably putting us around 11-14. It wont matter who you played all yr if you lose now you'll drop just like anyone else and youll drop more because you'll lose to a team ranked lower. A win is still a win and will only help us. So if we win and you lose we will most likely be ranked higher than you and we will definitely have the same record. Sounds a lot like what I said earlier.

You have no understanding of how the polls normally fuction do you? Or maybe your using that UGA math to count how many spots you'd fall. We beat a barely .500 team in USC and jumped 5 spots. Kansas lost to the now #1 team and dropped 6 spots. Oregon dropped 9 spots. When you lose to a team ranked lower than you, you dont drop 3 or 4 spots you drop 3 or 4 spots below where that team was if not more. That would put you at about 12th right there. If we beat a top 25 team we should expect to get 4-5 spots on a normal week if not more. It just depends on the matchups and the W's now but we could quite easily be ahead of you at the end of the yr.
