Don't try to jinx us David, 1 more game to go, we will be focused on UVA and taking care of business. And of course watching CJ Spillers last run down the hill. That kind of greatness will bring a tear to a grown mans eyes.

I don't know about the "mythical" SEC dominance.

Bad choice of words. Legendary might be better.
I'm not saying they're not the best conference in college football, they are.
I'm just saying that pre-season rankings make a hard mountain to climb and at the end of the day the final rankings are skewed by the early ones.
You get and keep rankings by beating ranked teams. The teams get ranked by previous accomplishments and past rankings. The bowl games are based on the rankings. The rankings are based on the bowl games. It's a hard cycle to break.
Going undefeated is the only solution, and even then it's not enough to keep the big guys out.
We really really really need a playoff system.

I say again, if the OBC believed he could win and coached accordingly USC would have beaten Ark, Tenn and certainly Florida. Garcia threw that pick in a desperation play because he wasn't getting coaching and plays like he should.

I'm thinking the Heels will knock off BC Saturday and the Clemson/Va game will be moot. Then it's all about figuring out how to beat Georgia Tech.
Carolina has a very good scenario to come away with a win Thanksgiving weekend. I'll be rooting for them if Clemson's where they should be for the ACCC.

Hush that turncoat noise Chuck. There ain't but two people in the world like me and I'm both of them.

We have another gouger.

Just in case you thought eye-gouging was limited to the SEC, here's a clip of last week's Florida State-Clemson game. That's Clemson defensive end Andre Branch (No. 40) with his hand grinding inside the facemask of FSU offensive guard David Spurlock (No. 79) while everyone else chases a loose ball. (HT: Tomahawk Nation)

This won't get the attention the Brandon Spikes gouge got because Branch isn't one of the best five defensive players in the country - and because, let's face it, New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert set a new standard for away-from-the-play violence last week - but Branch deserves punishment just as much as Spikes did. I know Clemson coach Dabo Swinney doesn't teach this garbage, and Swinney needs to act swiftly to eradicate such behavior from his program. He should suspend Branch for a game before Branch has the chance to completely copy Spikes and suspends himself.

We figured out how to beat them back in Sept, its real simple, don't spot them 21 points, play the whole damn game.

I know the OBC wants the high flying/high scoring offense he had so much success with back in Florida.

He's got the QB to make the big throws and so much depth in tall recievers for the deep jump ball it's not even funny.

Now if they can only get Garcia the protection he needs so those Mo and his cast of giants can get down field they would be a threat.

The play calling in the Florida game was much better IMO than the Ark and Tenn game. They knew they only had time for the screens/slants/short pass because of the blitz and did a good job getting through it. The running game really shocked me. Was the most ballanced i've seen S.Car in a while

They played the best in the nation and stayed in the game....can't ask from more than that. They guys played the entire game like they had a chance to win.

Pause it at 6 sec and look, his hands aren't inside the guys helmet, want to get on him for jerking the guys head around a little then sure but he clearly wasn't gouging the eyes.

Its true, we only gave up 9 points after the first quarter and scored 24. Show up for the whole damn game and play that way and we'll beat them. All you have to do is play your assignments to beat their stupid option.

Well, now that GT is solved, how about Maryland?

I'm pretty sure Klempsun didn't even get off the bus for that game...pathetic.

About GT: I played football in middle school. The first thing we learned was to run/defend the option. GT made a fool of CU in the first quarter and a half and again in the last half of the fourth quarter with the option. Nesbitt was done though by the end of the game. He kept his head on straight and his legs moving, which is why they won. But, he was definately ready for a nap. That's why I think CU can take 'em if they decide they want to play ball.

If nothing else, it should definately be a great game to watch. looking forward to lots of great plays on both sides of the ball for both teams.

Btw, Winthrop Eagles = undefeated:p

As much as it pains me to say it, GT and that funky option they don't always run very well has been very effective against a lot of teams the last two years.

Of course, I can't root for them playing anyone, but I'm also not betting against them in the ACC CG. I think they win by 2 TD's at least.

This is one ACC CG I will be watching. Should be a very entertaining game which is more than can be said for most of them... unless it's BB of course.

They won by 3 points the first time why the hell would you thin they can win by 2 touchdowns now?

Austin Update - limited practice on Monday expected to be ready for Sat
Bowers Update - limited practice on Monday could play Sat if needed

Because I knew it would push your button. :flipoff2:

Actually, if they win out, there are BCS consequences for them so they'll be playing for a lot more than Clemson...

When UGA destroys their season in two weeks, I'll change my prediction. :D

That game will have zero impact on the outcome of the ACCC. It seems that Clemson fans have failed to realize that our team is playing MUCH better than the second game of the season...from what I have seen, so is Clemson. Since I have zero impact on the game, I cannot guess who will win or by how much. There are just too many variables. What if it is a downpour? GT has won easily in rain this year, I have no idea what Clemson has done.

I can tell you that GT is running the option much better the second half of the season. We have seen at least one new play in each game this year. Don't forget that this will be Johnson's second time seeing Clemson in the same year as well. For a coach that has impressed us all with his ability to scheme and adjust, that might be a factor.

All I know is that most teams that we beat are still convinced that they are the better team. That is ok with me. I hope that it happens 10-12 times a year.

That could certainly happen. I am really hoping for revenge from the 51-7 game in Athens that I watched from the UGA student section. What a tough day that was!

There are BCS consequences for both its called an automatic bid so to say they are playing for more is stupid. They are playing for the same thing ACC Championship and Orange Bowl.

Clemson Lost to TCU and Maryland in the rain, beat Boston College and Wake in the rain. If GT was smart they would pray for rain because it will help limit Clemson's passing attack and also neutralizes Clemson's superior speed.
