Hollie - I was there on Sat but not Sunday. I'm originally from White Rock, about 10 mins south of Chapin. I'm down there a good bit.

No kidding. I was born and raised in technically White Rock. My parents still live off Richard Franklin so I'm down that way all the time. Wave should you see me. ;)

yeah it was good meeting everyone and good to see hollie on here. im going riding again at gulches sunday if anyone wants to come down.. its gonna be me and a buddy with a locked XJ on 37's

Welcome to the board Hollie. It was good to run into some new folks and "co-mingle" a little bit. We'll def head back to the Gulches for more camping and wheeling. Get that H fixed and rolling again.

Rick wrote: "Boy Howdy! Sounds like Wild Bill had a rowdy day at the Gulches." Maybe I shouldn't have played Hank Jr that day.

Not really, just followed Holly and Jimbo and tried to make what they did look easier, peer pressure from a hummer is huge, even if she wasn't locked. I was glad to have the Warn though to help them out with.
I didn't even try to follow Lauren. Double locked Cherokee with total disregard for body damage is WAY out of my league.

Anybody know anything about heavier duty control arms? I broke one and have to decided whether to replace with OEM, reinforced OEM or aftermarket. I'll get on the forums tomorrow and check around, and call Rick Arflin for prices on stock and check for a TRD upgrade.

Holly welcome aboard, enjoyed the company of you and John and Lauren.

UC note: when you learn what MSP stands for, then see Holly, you'll understand more about why I bent and broke.

Call all pro offroad Bill. They make aftermarket rear control arms...

Thank you all for the warm welcome!!!!!!

Bill..thanks again for saving John's butt on Trail 11. Maybe next time you can attempt it with me! LOL! I think you could have rocked on that trail being locked and all. Next time WE will own it!

BTW: You got to see MSP first hand after the breakage. ;)

Hollie, sorry I spelt your name wrong. I have a daughter named Holly and missed the other spelling.
No thanks necessary. That winch was a pain to install so I was glad to let it pay its way and to give it a checkout, you were my first victim. Seems ok, better than the one at Radical Ravine, eh?
Yeah I think I could have clumb that hill. You could have too if you hadn't slowed at that rocky place.
I was glad I wasn't in that ride home. Which will heal first, John or the H3?

wow gang, just made it through all the pics and it looks like everyone had a blast. Looks like Wild Bill provided some good photo ops too. Very cool videos too. Stacy said "oh hell no" when Marshall was coming down that one incline and 3 wheeled it.

You made a wise choice right there Mr. Troll :)

When stuck with the decision of applying more brake and flipping the cruiser over or letting off the brake and dealing with what happens next. I will always choose the later of the two.:D

Meeting Hollie and John, amongst the other people we ran into at the Gulches made me want to schedule a full park rental (or at least a coordinated ride) at that park, as well as River Rock in GA. We could even hit URE and Grey Rock over time as well. No point in letting these parks sit idle between events if we can help keep them running with our money and time!

All-Pro has two versions, but only the pricey one ($350) is pictured on their website. If you check the other forum in the vendor section you'll find the less expensive ones ($200), which are made from square tube instead of round tube. Cheaper ones reuse your OEM bushings and are not adjustable--just a HD replacement for your OEM arms. Pricey ones come with Johnny Joints or something like that and are adjustable.

[EDIT] OK, just figured out the square tube ones don't exist anymore, but they have several price points available now starting at $180.

All-Pro's individual parts page:

I am considering the "Extreme Links" and "Trailing Link Skids" myself for added durability. I can keep my OEM arms as spares then.

I'm moving this subject over to my 'Upgrade' thread, where it belongs.

I should apologize for the hijack but the immortal words of Capt Jack Sparrow come to mind: "Pi-rate!" Now that we're all good friends I should admit that Jeri's friends call me 'The Pirate'.
Now I'm not saying I am one, that's a matter of definition and interpretation. But once upon a time I met a woman named Katherine LaFitte, from Mallorca, who claimed (the next morning) to be the direct decendant of Jean LaFitte and his wife Katherine, once of N Orleans. She fell on me like a compass grabs north. There have been a couple of other pirate women over the years that seems to sense a preternatural attraction.
Maybe there's some DNA somewhere, Viking branch probably.
Take it as you will.

Hijack off.

Oh and I have two maroon walkie talkies.....not sure who they belong to, but I'll bring them to the next meet.

Thanks. Anytime I have a seat you are welcome to it. Heck, I usually have three so more people without trucks need to start coming out! :)

I thought that they might be yours, I'll let you know if I'm up in your area anytime soon and I'll drop them off. But if not I'll just see ya at the next meet.
