In case anyone is interested. :)

would love to get some help wrenching on May 15th (Saturday)

Wife and kid are going to the MIL's house for the weekend. Have a ton of tiny things that need doing on the 55 like, master cylinder, new drag link, new bumpers, mounting winch, add-a-leaf, extended brake lines, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Beer and pizza included.

I can help.

WTF do you call a big project?

College

Well, we sent out the deposit for college this week.
Ian has decided to attend Belmont University in Nashville.
He'll be enrolled in the Mike Curb school of music business. Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business - Belmont University
One of the top 2 schools in the nation for this type of program. Excellent facilities, great staff
and a strong internship program with the local music business.
He will be working towards a BBA.
So this really cuts into the Cruiser fund!

Congratulations to Ian! Sounds like a great program, not to mention living in the heart of the music business.... that alone will be amazing.

Thanks, he's pretty pumped right now. He's wrapping up his Senior project (record a CD of original songs)
His band has been getting ready to play the Prom. And he's going back down south to Knoxville for the global finals of Destination Imagination in 3 weeks. Plus finals are coming up and the AP exams. Kid is way more ambitious than I am.
Wait until Jack starts doing this stuff! (it won't be long!)

Wow that is one beat up 55 in this months calendar picture. Looks like someone took a sledgehammer to it.

I'm wheeling tomorrow!

Wifey's transmission in her 2004 Volvo XC90 is toast. Only works in reverse. Crapped out while I was on the way to the dump this am.

With some research I found out this particular T6 model is the worst ever. Apparently they took the transmission from a Pontiac Sunfire and re-engineered it to fit the Volvo. Sunfire has a 4 cyl. Volvo has a twin turbo 6 cyl and about 2000 extra lbs. No surprise now that the Volvo died with only 83000 miles on it.

Any transmission design from a Ford-owned brand that collaborated with GM has disaster written all over it. No wonder these companies sucked for so long.....they have been trading their own s***ty engineering back and forth. Ugh.
