So Randy when are we going to see more pics of the troopie. I hear that its getting shipped out to VT soon. Give us updates and details.

Yep it went to the great cruiser bone yard in the sky.
I think he gave up after the head gasket let go. The body tub was so bad after he got into it, he just decided to part it out. Too bad it was so full of bondo, was a good looking truck untill he started grinding...

Huge THANK YOU to Pat for offering to give the troopy a lift to Wally's. It ended up being a ridiculous and hair raising ride down the Pike as well as Wally's driveway. Pat was heroic in deploying expert defensive driving maneuvers as massholes extraordinaire cut him off left and right. One in particular had me levitating in my seat as I watched from my car traveling behind Pat and the troopy. Someone in the left lane was late for the Rt-84 exit and cut directly in front of Pat's bumper. Looked like they would have hit if Pat did not use his Jedi driving skills...or he had his eyes closed...not sure as I couldn't see. There were a couple more complete idiots testing his abilities/awakness. Another one was 3 Jeeps passing us with the third just NEEDING to tuck in behind his buddies and cut right in front of Pat. They exchanged niceties :censor: and we kept rolling. Crazy ride.

Once we got to Wally's we discovered his new bob sled run for a driveway and decided to wait until morning day light. The driveway was ice, snow, and a little sand. Pat drove around the block (25 minutes) to get lined up right and headed down in first gear low. Sounds like it was too slick and the trailer pushed the truck and slid into the trees. Very happy the trees were there though.

Next thing you know we're wheeling and extracting! Wally junps into MMM...Fungus, not to be confused with MMM...Tetanus, and Brian breaks out his wicked sweet Mog to pull the truck and trailer.

Everything worked out well and JR ends the morning antics with some quality Mog-skitchin'. Nice!

Found all sorts of good houses in Scituate and Marshfield. Unfortunately none have good garages or any that have high garage doors. Absolutely none have urinals or heat

I reember Mark Whately's criteriea for the A;aslain Cruiser Treks " Lockers and 35" tires minimum" seems this should be put on a sign at Wally's driveway.
can't wait to see this project hit the road :)

Nope, trailer tried to go first.

Mental note:
DONT use 4low low gear for that hill next time in the snow.

Let us know how you make out. I responded to a cheap 80 way back and it turned out to be a scam.

Just heard back:

"Sorry for the late response but I work in the US Air Force and it's very hard for me to reply faster. I wanted to let you know that the car is still available, i had a buyer but his loan did not get approved.
At this time the car is in Helena, Montana with me and we can use the Bay Vehicle Purchase Protection service to handle this deal if you're not able to come pick this up.If you are still interested please let me know asap, here is a link with more photos: http://robertgoldberg-profile.8k.com/My_Car/ Let me know if you have any questions, for some reasons your previous email did not load on my screen.

Thank you,

I was wondering who made those marks in the driveway. I slid into one of them when I was trying to get out on Sunday. Took about 10 minutes of back and forth to get out of the ditch and back down the rest of the way. The Troopy looks all nice and warm in the shop!

Just a quick note my good friends who have heard me bitch about my job for so long.... It is done, I have resigned.

Gave him 2 weeks and he asked me to do contract work and stay on part time after that which I told him I would consider. I don't want to leave the company or my coworkers in a lurch and will take pains to make sure I leave gracefully.

Boss was VERY nice about it and not angry, which is good after how my last resignation went. I was nervous but am confident in the decision and VERY excited about the future.

I will be freelancing and spending more time with my darling son.

More to follow...

Go Dave! Big step man!

Congrats Dave, What is it you do?
