Ordered the engine gasket set from Ralph Hayes today. So I guess I'll be taking it apart this weekend.

oh, and you know that regardless of what you actually do with this motor, you have to paint a rainbow on the block somewhere...or maybe on the oil pan skidplate.

Malp what is the difference in this bell housing compared to one on my 40? I thought they were both the same? If so It's available.

Got the paint tonight and told her my plan. I got a big "WHAT!?". Showed her the samples. She confirmed it was gay.

Downey. I have the TBI and computer already but need to get the other stuff from them. Or if Alan twists my arm hard enough I might go with affordable fuelinjection.

Crap I just got back from Cullowhee river tubbing and drinking trip. Head is still at the shop. Got the valve seals Friday dropping them off tomorrow along with other stuff to be cleaned. I want to make sure there is a good clean surface for the gay paint to stick to.
Next week I'll start ordering other parts.

WTF is going on up there guys? Ordering other parts. Like streamers? Someone is going to have to follow this thing around with a fire truck it's so flaming. Good luck. Can't wait to see the finished product, I guess.

I was thinking of adding a a pinwheel fan instead of the regular boring radiator fan.

Other parts are.
Bearings, RV cam, TBI harness, Chip, HEI dist, water pump, rings, fan clutch, etc....
Streamers are a good idea though.
I have an HEI GM 6Cyl distributor if you want to take a look at it. Its has all new cap and rotor, coil, and terminal board.
Just a thought.....
