Lots of good beers listed here. Ramon the Porkslap is pretty good; took a complimentary case on the pumpkin pig run a couple years back. It went awfully fast

my biggest issue when I go to the "good store" is making a decision :D
and this is only about a 1/3 of the isle. MMMM
some really cool brews and a great and knowledgeable staff

Agreed, it's delicious! Super thick, tons of flavor. Not a beer you can drink all night, but it's very flavorful. One thing though, I expected the taste of hops to be more prevalent due to the 1000 IBU rating.

Ramon and I sampled some fine brew yesterday:

1. Moylans Double IPA - Good, but wouldn't buy again

2. Don't remember the brand - Black IPA - Lots of carbonation, decent taste.

That looks good Jason. It's got a Grateful Dead feel to it. Coated in wax too, fancy:grinpimp:

Is that a straw

Wells Banana Bread
wells-banana-bread-beer.jpg

One of my favorite flavored beers.

Appearance: Golden in color with a white head that quickly disappears

Taste: Nailed the banana bread taste with a nice combination or malt and some spice I can't put my finger on

Very tasty and drinkable

Yup and it comes with a foil top...........only for experienced juice box drinkers. (wheres eventhough?)

actually johnny called it right, wax sealed cap

Broke in the ONSC pint glass with a whiskey barrel aged porter last night

Glad to here Al and ONSC enjoyed the "Labyrinth" by crooke river ale's over the weekend. Nice to have malty high octane porter.

Went to Salty Caper's last night and was asked to help finish a keg inorder to get a beer off the wall. Normally that is not a problem....however Dogfish's Black & Red proved too much...when you are dealing with 10.5% chocolate MINT.

Black & Red | Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales

It is just wrong. I finished an imperial stout glass for $3 and tried to find my taste buds the rest of the night.

Ok years ago I had an IPA that was heads and tails better than any IPA i'd ever had before or had since. I was pretty drunk that night and couldn't remember the name of the beer. Then yesterday I found my old friend on facebook that has since opened up three bars/resteraunts in So Cal that specializes in Great beer and craft food. (Got a reason to vacation back home again) He was there that night so I asked him if he remembered the beer.
Lucky me that he was the one that brought it so here it is.

From what i've read this thing has won best IPA in the world many times and has a 100 overall rating on ratebeer and is in the top 5 beers of all time on beer advocate.
Now i'm on the hunt for where to get it over here. If I can't find it i'll have to fly home to go to my buddy's restraunt since he has it on tap :bounce::bounce2:

So if you see it let me know

Kentucky Breakfast stout by Founders hit the market today.

Hope you are able to obtain two...one to enjoy now and one to store for later.

At bit "creamy" and malty for me. At 9%+ though, I'm starting to feel it :)

9% might be on the low side for southern tier..... had their creme brule once..... it put me in a diabetic coma and got me drunk at the same time :hillbilly:
