Same for me. I actually tried it once before and ended up just like EXDUDE. The audio from the unit didn’t work, and the 2K display really extends beyond the frame. Unfortunately, I found his post only after I had already reinstalled the original unit. However, after 5 months, I feel it’s time to give it another try :) I have it with the 360 cameras and OBDII connector, so I’m sure there will be more questions to answer along the way
Does your head unit audio work without teyes?

Does your head unit audio work without teyes?
Yeah, all good. The reason I want to switch to Teyes is the CarPlay functionality, a much better display, the ability to display navigation on the front screen while playing videos or other content on the rear seats, a significantly improved 360° camera (instead of the terrible factory 270° one, which was outdated even back in 2013), and so on

I wanted to add some detail for anyone struggling with this upgrade.
My factory unit went out. Quote to replace was $6,000 from the dealer for a replacement. I’m 99% sure it was the maps hard drive that failed for the second time. Point being, my screen was dead but I had CD and FM radio.

Installed the T’eyes and fought it for a week. No audio, no AC control. It was so stupid. There is a harness with multiple RCA connections. I thought it was maybe for another brand or model. No. You connect the RCA cables from the lower unit jumper to the Front L/R rcas. There is another pair of rca’s on a different plug that has a camera in and an SD card reader. Those are inputs. You need to connect to the bunch connectors which are outputs. Hope that helps

I bought the Canbus to use the factory camera but can’t figure it out. Also, my hazards wouldn’t turn off. I think it was a bad switch in their bezel so I just unsoldered it. None of the bezel buttons work either which makes me think it is a bad bezel.
Good luck. Apple car play is so nice. Also struggling with the screen is too big for the bezel. I think they have a firmware to shrink the screen but haven’t figure that out yet. Still happy with the swap.

Did you try their support on WhatsApp? It’s not lightning-fast responsive, but you will get an answer.

Initial installation attempt is incredibly frustrating. Head unit won't power up. No instructions or schematics are available for the myriad of plugs, just need to see what fits where. Whatsapp support responses are delayed by 12+ hours.

I'm going to keep trying but I feel like I'm trying to put a lego set together while blindfolded and wearing oven mitts.

Can we help? Maybe post a pic of some unsure wires?
I never got my camera to work but CarPlay is amazing

Here's a video I sent to their support

Give me an hour to get home and I’ll be able to look closer
@smeagol recap, you should have power looking at your connections.
That black plug next to the fuse is where the power comes in. Even if nothing else worked, that should be giving you power. I know it isn't easy, but you need to find a way to verify that harness is getting power. Maybe on those jumpers you installed if you disconnect them and test the yellow and black they should be getting battery power. if there is no power there you're problem is at the other end of that main harness. It's big and awkward, and if not seated, that could be why the unit isn't getting power.
The white capped factory wire you didn't find a destination for, I do not believe it gets connected (see grey wire below).
The canbus with SH 20231020, I think that is the one for the camera. I never got that connected right, but it wouldn't effect the radio not powering on.
The canbus with TZY is the one to control the unit. It looks like you have both of these connected correctly.

The green wires and other small harness are both correct.

Now, one plug that isn't correct, over by the connector with the two green wires, you should have another one of the provided harnesses there. It's the one with like 6 or more RCA's coming from it. That is where you should plug the audio wires from the amp jumper. Where you have them plugged is for an input signal. You need to plug them into just the FR/FL out RCAs on the harness you didn't connect. The rest of the RCAs don't get used.

All of the head units are slightly different, I think there were three different factory units. BUT there was one wire on the amp you should not have plugged back in. I think it was grey (attached the photo from the website).

Wish I could be more help. Your wiring is correct enough that you should have power. If you want to talk to them, just go to what'sapp. They take a day, minimum, to reply to emails.

Thanks for the response. I thought the RCA plug was output only so I didn't connect it. I was planning on checking power with a voltmeter next work session.

I saw insructions about omitting that plug as well, I need to verify mine.

Had a few minutes free, so I checked voltage and I found I had main battery power but did not have accessory power. Hoping it's something simple, will update here with progress.

Does anyone have this hooked up to an LX570. And even for the LC200 Folks, would anyone mind doing a video demo going through the menus and using it and what not? I've searched before and it's always videos from the company that are super short and lacking info - generally always in russian too (looking at Teyes Australian page).

Would love to see Android Auto and Carplay working.

I seem to have 12v to the head unit but doesn't seem like I have accessory power on. The accessory power looks to trace to one of the canbus boxes, so next triage steps aren't immediately clear. Continuity looks good between head unit and the jumper harness for power/ground. Popped a fuse trying to check voltage, checked my fuses and replaced the bad one, and now my key fobs do not work.

Teyes support has not responded to me the support chat.

Removed Teyes head unit and harness, went back to OEM to test, and found I have no power to HVAC or the head unit. So something else is going on at this point. :bang:

I believe I checked all the relevant fuses, everything looks good.

Ok finally some progress. Found a fuse that was popped on the passenger side, got the head unit powered up, connected to my wifi.

No AC controls yet however, I've been trying various CAN settings. Sounds like it's time to hit up Teyes support to see if they can help.
Sorry for the verbose updates, figure there's a few people waiting to see how this all goes.

IT WORKS!

Contacted their support team on WhatsApp and spoke to an engineer.

Had to use a specific CanBus configuration
LZ (HZ)
Toyota
Lexus IS
No Air Amp

And I needed to use included RCA cables to tie into the factory CD player deck with an included pass thru harness.

AC Controls WORK

Steering wheel controls WORK

Audio WORKS!

Caveats: The 2K screen is useless with the cover. I would recommend the normal CC3 unit for this application. The buttons are too small and it can be hard to see if you are advanced in focal age. The borders cover the outer portions of the display so you arent able to touch some buttons in certain apps without fiddling. And when I say useless I dont mean its unusable. But you cannot take advantage of the larger display since some of it is hidden.

Audio quality is not great with the factory equalizer default settings. I had to play with it to clean up the sound. If you are an audiophile you may love or hate this.

You may need to take a Dremel to the cover a little bit all the way around to get the screen to sit in there better.

The factory 360* Camera system requires an additional $100ish CanBus module in addition to the radio kit. Hers is ordered so I am waiting for that. They offer their own 360* camera system that is far better quality but you MUST purchase a CC3 360 model when you are purchasing the system. The normal CC3 and CC3 2K models do not support the Teyes 360* camera system.

Tried changing DPI in Developer Options and will play more with it but the 2K screen is still getting cut off.

These things are kind of cool because you can use them so many ways.
CarPlay - Stream your music off your iDevice and do all the CarPlay things
Android Auto - Do all the cool Android Auto things
Mirror Cast - Cast the screen of your device to the display
External RCA outputs for other displays
Standalone - Its a full blown Android device. I use my iPhone 15 PM as a hotspot (there is also a SIM slot but am not sure what carrier bands it supports) and stream Spotify, Youtube Music, etc. and have access to ON-X and other navigation apps like you would on any other Android phone or tablet.

Hell I even used it recently to check my VA Claim on my lunch-break using Chrome.

Overall: 8/10 Stars
Difficulty: 5/10 Banana job (Due to lackluster instructions)

Sorry OP. I definitely hijacked your thread.

If I have some time I will do a full write up in a dedicated thread.
Did you ever post pictures of the install on the LX570? Was hoping to see how far off the fit was mentioned in your "issues section".

I tried to contact him via DM as well (8/2024), but it seems that he no longer visits the forum and probably doesn't receive any email notifications either.

I put a generic android head unit in my kids Jeep Renegade, and it has its quirks.. but I can totally live with it, so would love to see if there was a decent option for the LX. I have a Grom. It’s fine but the hardware is almost useless for running modern Android apps, so it’s only good for CarPlay of low power apps.
