I had to bring it home and put it together to get some more debug information. Based on my initial investigation I think the harness is not compatible with North America LC200 which has a JBL amp system. I did some research and Joying provides the correct harness Toyota Prado Power Cable For Toyota Cars With JBL AMP - https://www.joyingauto.com/toyota-prado-power-cable-for-toyota-cars-with-jbl-amp.html
I still haven't heard back from the support. Adding some pics on assembled unit. Will add more pics of the system attached to the car.

According to toyota NZ it come with a Pioneer system. I am assuming they are close in spec (though we don't get Sahara model in NZ)

I haven't had any success with the install. There were some initial help from Dan at Teyes. I couldn't get any response after the initial conversation.
Issues:
1. No Sound. Maybe some wiring issue. They provided me with some wiring diagram and none of those worked.
2. Android Carplay does not work. Looks like this might be related to the custom launcher they use. For some reason Android Auto is unable to takeover the screen.
3. The buttons on the bezel does not work.

I am not sure whether there are other issues. Maybe there were issues with my installer. Anyhow I am going to send it back and try some other headunit.

You'll have to cut the plastic piece in the bottom unit as mentioned in the product size. It would not fit flush without that change.

Thank you for the update! Have you looked into the Grom VLine?

Unfortunately my stock head unit is also not working. Teyes says that it has to work for their head unit to work. So I might have to look for the tesla style ones which might not need a working stock radio unit.

I'm betting the stock unit is gonna have to be working before you can replace with aftermarket. I'm in the same boat right now and can't really figure out wtf is causing mine not to work. I'm hoping once I set up a computer with techstream I can diagnose.

If the screen is broken a full replacement might work. If the amp is dead then you’ll need to fix (or bypass) that.

I just installed one in my mother in laws 2013 LX570. Same issue.

AC controls work great.

Steering wheel controls seem to work fine.

No audio out of the unit though.

I can go into the Teyes apps (not settings), swipe over, select Vehicle Settings and there I can see the factory AC, the am fm radio, and CD player. I do have audio from the radio and CD player but it seems it isn’t receiving audio from the Teyes unit itself.

I’ll keep fiddling with it. Tried several CanBus Configurations so far.

I did see on their website that if you have a high end radio to leave a port unplugged on the back of the factory CD player deck. I did try leaving the one that looks similar to it disconnected but it didn’t make a difference.

Damn. I’m rooting for you all cause the Teyes seems really nice from videos on line on other cars, including the GXs.

Yes, please keep us posted if you find a fix!
Will do.

I just got the Teyes unit working in 2003 GX470. Both arrived at the same time, but the Nav DVD drive under the passenger seat in mine was roached so I installed mine first.

Took me a week of fiddling with it on and off and using ALL of the connectors it came with before steering wheel and climate controls started working in my GX. Instructions are a bit sparse. The build quality isnt as robust as OEM and the fit and finish isnt perfect either, no shocker there, but its worth setting your expectations. In my case I had to cut the brackets from the factory unit since it didnt come with any (The LX570 kit DOES have a set included for it). Overall I am very happy with it. Their Sony backup camera has good day/night image quality and I like the additional features and capability it offers.

As for the LX570...

The Teyes unit in hers works great and was mostly plug and play. The CanBus system was already selected and registering the steering wheel and air conditioning control inputs immediately.

Install Notes: I had to cut the clips on the inner air con vents (per the instructions) and since she chose the newer CC3 2K display (like the one in mine), so the housing will require some dremelling to get it set inside of it correctly since it's designed for the previous CC3 model (which seems to be a better choice for this application).

So these are the three issues I still need to resolve with hers.

1. Display fitment and usability. The included Housing, even when trimmed, is blocking some portions of the display and I need to find a way to change the scaling (resolution) so everything is accessible and easy for her to read. So I will dremel it and see how I can get into the Android layer Developer Options.

2. Audio issue. This one is weird. I have no audio from anything played through the Teyes sytem. Steering wheel volume and track selection appear to be working(the volume bar on the Teyes moves and the songs change), but if I play audio via CarPlay or downloading Spotify and streaming straight off of the Teyes unit by using my phone as a hotspot... no sound at all from the unit. When I access the CD player or it via the Canbus interface that also shows the AC controls, cd player, dvd player, rear AC, etc I can turn on the FM radio and CD player and get audio, but only the volume knob on the factory deck below the unit is controlling the audio volume. The system volume is not controlled by the Teyes system.

I am currently waiting on a reply from the engineer that requested videos showing them the issue.

3. The final one was kind of my fault. The factory 360* camera system is not working. The reverse trigger works and puts a camera interface up on the display like it would from the factory, but there is no image from the camera system. These systems require an additional canbus module to retain the factory 360 camera functionality. I didnt verify she purchased it after she placed the order and she had forgotten to add it to the order. I ordered the part last night and it should arrive next week. Its definitely possible this may have something to do with the audio issue but we are about to be hit by Beryl so there is no telling how long I may be waiting on it.

I will keep yall updated once I find a solution for her LX. I still need to install her Victory bumper so I will work on that while I wait....

IT WORKS!

Contacted their support team on WhatsApp and spoke to an engineer.

Had to use a specific CanBus configuration
LZ (HZ)
Toyota
Lexus IS
No Air Amp

And I needed to use included RCA cables to tie into the factory CD player deck with an included pass thru harness.

AC Controls WORK

Steering wheel controls WORK

Audio WORKS!

Caveats: The 2K screen is useless with the cover. I would recommend the normal CC3 unit for this application. The buttons are too small and it can be hard to see if you are advanced in focal age. The borders cover the outer portions of the display so you arent able to touch some buttons in certain apps without fiddling. And when I say useless I dont mean its unusable. But you cannot take advantage of the larger display since some of it is hidden.

Audio quality is not great with the factory equalizer default settings. I had to play with it to clean up the sound. If you are an audiophile you may love or hate this.

You may need to take a Dremel to the cover a little bit all the way around to get the screen to sit in there better.

The factory 360* Camera system requires an additional $100ish CanBus module in addition to the radio kit. Hers is ordered so I am waiting for that. They offer their own 360* camera system that is far better quality but you MUST purchase a CC3 360 model when you are purchasing the system. The normal CC3 and CC3 2K models do not support the Teyes 360* camera system.

Tried changing DPI in Developer Options and will play more with it but the 2K screen is still getting cut off.

These things are kind of cool because you can use them so many ways.
CarPlay - Stream your music off your iDevice and do all the CarPlay things
Android Auto - Do all the cool Android Auto things
Mirror Cast - Cast the screen of your device to the display
External RCA outputs for other displays
Standalone - Its a full blown Android device. I use my iPhone 15 PM as a hotspot (there is also a SIM slot but am not sure what carrier bands it supports) and stream Spotify, Youtube Music, etc. and have access to ON-X and other navigation apps like you would on any other Android phone or tablet.

Hell I even used it recently to check my VA Claim on my lunch-break using Chrome.

Overall: 8/10 Stars
Difficulty: 5/10 Banana job (Due to lackluster instructions)

Sorry OP. I definitely hijacked your thread.

If I have some time I will do a full write up in a dedicated thread.

Thanks for posting your experience. Disappointing to hear about the 2k issues, I'd really like to have the higher quality screen.

This is great info. Thanks for that. That's too bad about the 2K screen in that it's not just sharper but with a proper resolution of the text/boxes.

Do you like where you got the audio or do you feel it's a step back compared to the stock system right now?

Definitely look forward to the full write up.

This is awesome stuff. Would love to see some pics/video of this in action

That is great to know. For me the factory head was not working and it was required for Teyes to work. Working on it.

Has anyone else completed this installation? I'm just about to do that and could really use any advice :) The author doesn't seem to visit the forum anymore.

I have one but it's still sitting in a box 🙈

Same for me. I actually tried it once before and ended up just like EXDUDE. The audio from the unit didn’t work, and the 2K display really extends beyond the frame. Unfortunately, I found his post only after I had already reinstalled the original unit. However, after 5 months, I feel it’s time to give it another try :) I have it with the 360 cameras and OBDII connector, so I’m sure there will be more questions to answer along the way
