Tesla style head unit - has anyone seen this?

Seems like it's so close to working out the bugs.

Not in English, but maybe it will help someone.

It's basically a quick overview - good quality, matches factory colours and uses factory mounts. You can use maps, video, audio, etc, has everything needed - cables and adaptors. Nothing specific about installation or any issues with AC/Audio.
The videos in the channel are very misleading, as the thumbnails show the units mounted in cars, but in the actual videos they are stand alone with only power provided :D

I guess that there might be more info in the Russian LC forums, but my Russian doesn't get me that far...

Buttons feel good to touch and well made. Good idea on the scratch test - will do that tomorrow in day light. I didn't readily scratch it during install, and was resting it on gear knob and front fascia.

Haven't taken it for a drive. Will take note and report back on any weirdness. I'm very aware of those things and understand what you're asking. Will see if noise develops while driving around tomorrow.

Awaiting response from support on wiring to factory amp/audio.
Did they give you any ideas to get the sound working?

Just got hold of her on WeChat messenger. Awaiting response. Have advised that others are in the same place and looking for resolution.

... I've started pricing out amps just in case :)

Me too. Think I’m going to do that anyway. Thoughts on wiring the amp to this system?

Can you guys update your installs with the following:

1) What year LC or LX?
2) Did you have to transplant the HVAC board or HVAC amp? Or was it just plug and play wiring harness connections?
3) Does the Tesla style screen have RCA preamp outputs?

I took out my stock amp and put in an after market amp and bypassed the stock head unit. Plenty of room under the passenger seat when you remove the stock amp and even more if you take out the NAV computer.

Wishing you guys much luck in getting it working!

1. 2004 LC
2. Yes. You pull the black box from the OEM unit and transplant.
3. Yes. There's a dedicated AUX RCA loom.

Hi, can anyone with this unit installed send me a picture of the advanced and system settings? My unit was working well but the a/c controls stopped working.. I think I may have changed a settings by accident ( I should have taken pictures be for I messed with it!). Overall the unit is great so far beside my a/c problem.

As far as the stereo, I replaced all the door speakers and the sub, put two small amps under the passenger seat and bypassed the factory amp, hooked the amps to the units rca outputs and it sounds awesome!

Baaahahaha, the support person speaks English about as well I speak Mandarin.
