Tesla style head unit - has anyone seen this?

Reporting in ...

02 LC. Watched the provided video and started connecting things up. There is an alternate wiring harness which I didn't use [didn't fit].

I swapped the HVAC 'black box' as seen in videos from the truck to the new head unit. Pretty straight forward and connected it into the provided loom.

Once plugged in, HVAC works. Front, back, AC, etc. Connected to phone bluetooth with no problem - can see song playing from phone and affect it with the interface. Turning on the radio causes the antenna to go up/down.

No sound though. I happen to have see an overland shop in TX that bypassed the stock amp - how do I wire into the stock setup? Tried all available combos to see if something came to life ... no dice.

Will reach out to their support now and hope for a quick response overnight. Fingers crossed!
I have the exact same issue with the same unit. Everything works except sound. There is a screen with amp volume inputs that seem to be unadjustable. I'm wondering if its an issue with the can bus interface. I have been trying to troubleshoot with them via WhatsApp, but it has proven to be very difficult. If I could just have sound this would be perfect

Can you take a picture or short video of how to get to this interface please? I'm in talks w/ the seller and they mentioned this - not sure I'm seeing the same thing.

To troubleshoot if it is an issue with the amp or with the output of the stereo, you can try to bypass the amp and run wires from the headunit to the speaker. If you get sound by doing this, you can get an amp bypass harness to connect the speakers directly to the headunit.

I sure will. This afternoon

OK - I've not seen this set of interfaces yet [Explorer, Cam, etc]. How did you navigate here? Admittedly, only spent last evening messing around and am usually good at sussing out interfaces.

Aside, the reserve rearview cam didn't work based on my initial hookup, but not sure I had the right cables plugged in. Does yours?

TIA

I found the interfaces -- I'm not an Android guy and didn't realize you simply swipe left at the top bar to reveal them. hurr durr.

Believe those might be 'developer' features that are behind a password seen on the 'general settings' panel. Looking to confirm w/ the seller.

Small update: the password to 'Advanced' screen is 8861. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. I am not responsible for your actions.

This does not appear to unlock the 'Amp Information' screen options though.

That said, I'm discussing w/ the seller for the different 'Car Type' options and will dive back into the install today/this evening. When I did change the car type.. I could faintly hear something so am hopeful there's a wrong cable or similar. Fingers crossed on the rearview as well.

Ironically starting to see these pop up on Insta with other installs ... but scant details unfortunately. If this pans out I'll author a proper proper post consolidating things into one place.

Stay tuned.

Most of the installs I’ve seen are overseas in Arab and Russian speaking countries.

Any links for the Arabic installs? I do speak Arabic and might be able to assist if any helpful information is available on those videos.

Searching “lx470” on Instagram.

What I do know from a US install on Insta is that an aftermarket amp, plugged into the AUX connections appears as the fast track around this headache. I may opt for that route, as I'd already considered an amp... At this point I enjoy it enough to push through one way or another. An amp really isn't that much more money.

That said, I'm getting in contact w/ the seller via WeChat to hopefully share photos and troubleshoot a bit easier than via Aliexpress.com. That happens in shoulder hours given the time difference. It'd be nice to figure this out for use with the OEM amp.

The rearview camera continues as an open item - I understand we need to get ours from 12v to 6v, but really not sure. Radio installer might have the insight ...

@LX470MK - do let us know if you happen on any nuggets of info. I don't know if it's a simple power/cable thing or a firmware thing..
