Run the FirmwareUpdateTool.exe from the "C:\Program Files (x86)\XHorse Electronics\MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS". Click “Device Info”. You should see the “device connected” screen.

Did you update the registry with the .reg file?

Thnking about this guidance again - all I got were the three files pictured below; the Techstream setup, TISKey and the MCVI Driver. Should I try installing Techstream again?
The instructions I got said to install Techstream, then TIS Key, then the MCVI driver...

What's your email address, I can share a gmail share with some files I have used successfully, including mvci-x64.reg

What's failing for you? The MCVI driver should install the cable driver, there should be an exe file installed with it where you can test it seperately from techstream.

I realize my picture of the files I got never attached.

@camino70 - seeing your reference to a -x64 MVCI driver makes me wonder if I just figured out what happened... When I first loaded TechStream, and everything worked, this computer was an old work laptop. Then they decomissioned the Win7 boxes and said I could have this box, after they wiped it and reinstalled Win7. Now it is running as a 64-bit version of Win7. I wonder if before, it was running as a 32-bit version of Win7? I can ask the IT guys if they remember...

Anyway, this MVCI Driver file (or any of the files) does not have a -x64 designation.
