We were supposed to have a booth again this year, but our stock shipment has been delayed.. therefore giving us not much to sell :( In other words, we'll be passing this year. We'll be there without being there though. We produced 50th anniversary Trasharoos for the club members. Have fun you guys!

Ahh shucks Dave, sorry about the shipment. I bought my Trasharoo there last year.
Note to anyone planning on attending and supporting the vendors there - bring cash... and lots of it. There's tons of stuff to buy at a discounted rate.

Not to mention that it is tax free also!

Would love to join you guys, what time are you guys heading out on Friday? Haven't been out in that area in a long time and this would be my first TDS event.

I'll be heading out about 4 or 5ish Friday afternoon if you want to head out with me.

Have fun guys, just found out I have duty this Saturday.

I'll be wondering around the vendor section. I wish I had all day to do a run or explore the area but alas there be work to do.

Man I wish I could, I have been wanting to make the 50th. Laid up with a bum leg. Have some fun and show up a few Heeps for me.

I should be down there for a couple hours first thing in the morning (Sat). Easiest way to spot the rig from a distance is the 10" SoCal80's stickers on the rear side windows.

a mini report

I didn't take many photos. In fact - I didn't take any besides the rollover pics and the DA recovery vehicle, a passenger took the rest.

We watched the debauchery at "The Crack" and wish I had video of 4 things. The first being Derrick taking a line on a step up that the jeepers and even some buggies couldn't get up all while hearing the crowd whispering "that's a Lexus?!?".
The second being a stock Ford Escape attempting a 1' step with a running start. Consequently both airbags blew and he destroyed the front of the suv. This level of stupidity was probably my highlight of the weekend. :flipoff2:
The third being 2 "side by side" utv's jumping an obstacle into a crowd of people and rigs. They did it for about 5 minutes, luckily no one was hurt.
The last being a duel between a xj5 and a h1. It started with a love tap from the xj and ended up with the h1 ramming the xj so hard it broke the passenger front wheel completely off. Then they hooked up via a tow strap and the h1 dragged the xj through the obstacles.... backwards. It really was awesome. Oh yeah - the H1 was originally built and customized for Tom Clancy, who is by far my favorite author even before I knew he liked to wheel. But this guy bought it this year for $22k.... crazy what gas prices do to the value of a vehicle.

enough of my rambling, here are some pics.

"that's a Lexus?"

Nice. That's my screen name on just about every forum but this one (didn't figure Woody would let me change it). I was out there for a few hours and had some fun cruising around. Nothing too hard core 'cause I was with two Jeeps with open diffs and one with a rear locker only...

I went away with two thoughts:

I need 39's and damn, there are a lot of "me too" Jeeps out there!
