Sounds like fun!

I've been marinating a TBI swap into my FJ40... Still in the intel gathering phase. You brought up some interesting (and previously unknown to me) points regarding the chips and various considerations regarding one's choices.
I'll be interested in your findings and if you are able to nail a solid program for your ride.

BTW, How are you switching among programs? Perhaps a "bully dog" style or "Palm" driven controller would be the hot ticket to control the ECU programs? hmmm.

Bringing this back from the dead somewhat...

Does anyone have a .bin file for the 7747 ECM that will run a stockish 2F?

I'm trying to get my TBI converted 20R tuned, and I was hoping to baseline my programming on a somewhat de-tuned bin. So far it runs and idles fine, it just doesn't drive well.

This is the one I have seen floating around for a while in different places. Just make sure you compare the two before burning it.

Ok, is there a more basic thread or post that provides the "How to switch a carbed 2F to a TBI" info?

I am a software guy, but I have searched looking for the basic hardware needed to get to the point where Marshall started this thread on.

There is a TBI adapter that goes on the intake manifold: What is it and where does one get it from?

Then the '747 ECU as mentioned in this thread: Sources for it?

Oh and Marshall, got your new carb will be putting it on this saturday, thx
