Loving the Kanatis, they're eating up the terrain in Moab.... Other than my own stupidity they've been flawless. I ripped open a sidewall backing off the trailer when I got here.

Post trip repairs, back to 100%
Paid a little more for the Kanati this time, no sale going on right now. $215 vs $171

Just got back home from an almost 4k miles road trip that included over 800 miles off pavement with the tires aired down to 14 psi or so. I'll post a close pic of the tires after the trip in the next couple of days. I am still very happy with the Kanatis in this size. They performed well on a variety of surfaces and conditions, and got me everywhere I pointed the rig.

12psi was my sweet spot.

This is how the Kanatis look after about 5k miles, with about 800 miles being off pavement use and abuse, aired down to 14 psi. I'm pretty happy with these tires, especially considering I got 5 of them shipped to the house for under $1k.View attachment 3691868View attachment 3691869View attachment 3691870View attachment 3691871View attachment 3691872
Googled 37x10.50r17 and got lost on these four runners. Sick rigs. Cool to see 35x10.50. I run a 33x10.50r15 on my on Bronco.

Anyone running 225/95R16 (33” x 9”) tires?
Never seen or read of them in US or Central America.

My 255/85/16 are slightly bigger at 33.25" x 9.75" width.

That looks great.
They seem to be factory option for new 70 series in Australia, Africa and UAE.
It’s a shame they’re not readily available in the states, same diameter as a 285/75R16 but less weight and rolling resistance.

Interesting. I have a buddy who is about to buy a new J79 so I'll see what it's kitted with for tires. Central America tends to Thailand spec J70s and Hilux. I wish we could get Simex tracker mud tires over here....

Cheers.
Interested to hear what other markets are offered with.
I know an alternative factory size can be a 265/70R16 with alloys rather than steelies.

So tires are something I have been trying to comprehend. From what I gather, I am guessing that there is no ~35 tire that’s tall, skinny, fits 16 rims, and is not a straight off-roading tire? I’m looking for something that could double duty as a daily driver.
Just saw these, might be a new size that’s become available (35 x 11.50 R16):

I don't believe any manufacturer make a tire that size that's US DOT approved, which is why you don't see them here. The Dunlops in that size don't have a great reputation, AFAIK (never tried them myself. I'm running 235/85R-16 Toyos).

Yeah, doesn’t seem to be any yet.
The Toyo AT3 is now available in this size so may end up being released in the states. Here’s a bit more info about it (sorry it’s in Japanese so will need an online translation tool). Looks like this size was added November last year:

What kind of wheels are those?

I’m following this thread since the beginning and I participated it to. However, I may had lost some part so I don’t recall seeing this (but it’s possible).

I have probably acquired what could be the ultimate pizza cutter.

225/95R16 (with 16x6 5x150 rims !)

I might try theme on my 100, but the tires may most likely ended on my M101 cdn trailer or on my 40.
