Any way you could create a "water" type icon for water pumps and possibly one for a refrigerator? This would be great for those that have on-board water and on-board refrigerators.

Thanks.

I will add these to the list on next go around. Once I get a few more requests.

Nice job and quality contribution.

Did you hear that?

Its the sound of me falling of my chair because something I posted BENO didn't instantly think was stupid.

Of course all kudos will be gone when you see the next mods I have in store :grinpimp:

... and one for self destruct

I have one for Global Destruction. Woody gave me Global Destruction privileges to entice me to join 'Mud about 6 years ago. I have not been forced to use the button but have been tempted a few times over the years. :D

nice work

i wish I would have seen this a few weeks ago. I just went on ebay and bought a few old switches to see if I could take them apart to do this. I found the same thing you did, that the small lighted plate could be removed and either the black backing, or the back and the green backing could be removed depending on how hard one sanded.

My question. Can one print the icons on a clear sheet making the icon clear and everything else black. Can the clear sheet be a decal sheet. Then it could be put on the inside of the plate looking more stock.

Also for different switches I am trying to make. I am wondering If I can print white iocns on a clear decal sheet to stick to the front of a lighted switch.

Thanks

Chad

Try it, report back with pics

Thanks for adding the CDL Joey, this is a great contribution. My wife will thank you because I will now be able to remove the "white trash autometer" sticker from my hazzard/cdl switch.

You're not talking about brain surgery here. Live on the edge - invest in $5 worth of supplies and try it.

how about adding icons for RR diff and FF diff locks? like the toyota illuminated dash indicator, but for switches?

and maybe the ever-popular "ejector seat" label

Well crap now I really need to re-label my second hazard switch that is acting as a CDL. Thanks!

BTW is the CDL button supposed to light up? Mine doesn't with the hazard switch in it's place.

Mine is intermittent too, I have a bad ground or something in the dash. All functions well, but the light.... sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Although Im not using a haz switch, put a 92 cdl switch in the factory location on the 94.

Bad pic but you get the idea...

Or

The stock dash on mine has a little red light with an inflamed rear diff for rear locker and an inflamed front diff for front locker. I always thought it was the same for all 80s.

I'm looking for a picture, I know there must be one out there...

Have examples of those?

NLXTACY,

When you get a chance will you add an 'ON' and 'OFF' label to the PDF? I'm relabeling a rear heater swicth so they need to be the size of 'LO' and 'HI' label they are replacing.

Thanks

Er its a three position switch and center (normally off) isn't labeled I don't think. I'll measure mine and get something that is the same size going. Most of the ones I've done have been to size. I will also go through and add the ones I haven't done yet as well.

Yes the three position switch. I'm making it for an elecrtic fan switch that will have manual on and off. I'll proabbly leave the fan symbal in the center and remove the 'REAR' and 'HEAT' wording. I printed out a sample of your PDF sheet and it looks like the 'OUT' wording on the winch label on the upper section will fit. So you can use that as a guide for size.

As for Sandcruiser request for f/r diff label, an easy explanation is to use the CDL icon as a guide but for the front diff move the large white circle from the center diff location to between the front wheels (angled wheels) and make the center diff small. On the rear diff place the large white circle between the rear wheels (wheels fixed straight ahead).

Hope this helps and thank you for the help.
