got stuck in the soft sand on the way out, damn hippy on a bike made me get out of the throttle.............damn hippies

We could do the screen names on our rigs! That would be cool.

That would work.......... IF we were in our own rigs!;p I rode shotgun with Calico Kid, who's already on his way back out to the desert! Good to see everyone again. Very good. Thanks to all who kept me fed and drunk and pretended to enjoy my music.;) See you all in Feb at the Calico Cleanup.

Home just in time for a shower and the Simpsons....Da na da da-na... :D Had a blast! Duh! Good to see and meet everyone.

SNT needs to be a 5 day event...

Jim, do you have any Gov. connections? We need a week long national holiday of some sort..... :D

I drove all over the camp looking for The James Caird and any other members who told me to look for them. decavo, too.

I couldn't find anyone. I'm not really the kind of person who goes around introducing myself though.

Cause I know one of these days I'm going to end up with a black eye for being a moron.

So I met PKP80, Mudrak gave me back my hubcap that he found lying around Sonoma somewhere and I didn't recognize Sean Wilson being the guy holding the bag with the cards at checkpoint numero uno during el poker run.

Sean's actually the reason why I was at SNT. Because he sold the Cruiser to me. And installed new brake pads for me a couple times. And I'm supposed to be buying a used OME heavy kit off him. But I'm so freaking poor. :crybaby: And SNT set me back another 300 dollars. :crybaby:

Go to OK Tire Store in St. Helena for all of your tire/brake/suspension needs.

But it was worth it. I'll dig through the pictures that are worthwhile once they're all uploaded and post the ones that aren't crap. Otherwise, my photobucket album is on the previous page, post number 407.

We drove my wife's 01 4Runner instead of the Caird... The Caird needs an alignment.... and doesn't quite get the gas mileage as the 01. :D

Dont' worry, by next year you'll know more people and get into he swing of things a bit more. My first year I only talked to a couple people, and now they are good friends and I have lots more to boot! :D You made it out, that's all the counts!

Wished the wife and I could have taken the time off to go!
Were making plans to do it next year for our first times!
Cant wait to see all the pics and hear all the stories!

Glad you all had fun!

A great many thanks to Jim and Kathryn for the original idea, the yearly implementation efforts, all the hard work, I'm sure plenty of time put in, securing shirts and all, securing the space and much much more. Great guys, and great supporters of our community. Also to Alvaro for Sand Chef, and to (sorry don't know your names) the great guys who came up with tons of wood. Also to the crew who manned the Run. Congrats on a stunningly impressive hurricane-proof sign post too. Also due are thanks to all for much congeniality, a good atmosphere, and being a responsible wheeler crowd. Nice show for the sport. What a good bunch of folks, helpful and generally great to be around. Altogether yet another terrific event!

eric, i didn't get a chance to say hello but i saw you driving w/ your daughter and letting her take the reigns too :) that's very cool and it was nice to see the family aspect represented (by others as well of course)

Oh man what can I say but another great year is in the books! Jeb and Bob it was fun hangin' with you guys this weekend on the sand and watching the fun. It was great to see a bunch of people I haven't seen in awhile, and cool to check out all the sweet cruisers on the sand!!!

Thanks Jim and Kathryn! Jack and I had a blast. Thanks to the Norcal crew and all who brought food! I can still smell that pork roasting in that box.:) I met a bunch of cool folks and can't wait for next year.

Here a couple pics, I didn't take many as my 3yr. old son kept me pretty busy.

Thanks for the Abalone! Nice to see everyone. Slept under my 80 saturday night the GF kicked me out of her rx300 for snoring tooo much from slivovitz - took hwy 1 home and hung out with some sea lions and ate smoked salmon. forgot the camera. the motorhome fj40 is the coolest thing I ever saw at SNT and I bin to all of them.

yup, special thanks also to Rick for lugging the enormous pig roast box, but what delights were had...!

yup, thought I saw you walking by and looked for you afterwards but no dice.
Yes, it was fun having her go up some steep dunes and do the reverse and try again with yet another locker until we got up thing... Scared at first, now confident. Good stuff.

Just for the record, I think we could call this year's event, "Surf and Pork". Many, many pigs sacrificed their shoulders to feed "the mob". Rick was the pork meister and patiently tended the box all weekend.

This was a blast, and many kudos to Jim and Katherine, who worked full time during the event. The only time I saw Jim really relax, was the last night after 10pm. The magic does not happen by accident.

Anyway, a great time with friends, old and new. Already looking forward to next year!
