Can anyone give me more information on the chef cook off? Any previous examples owuld be nice. I don't cook much but I think it would be fun for my friends and I to compete.

How big does the team need to be and what is normal in the past?

Expect to hear more from Alvaro about this year's Sand Chef competetion soon.

Whats the question. It is a cooking comp. at SnT. Teams are given an ingredient at some point just before the event begins and they scramble to fix up their best dishes using said ingredient. The results are judged by a panel of judges that is selected via a totally secrect process. Food is eaten and spirits flow. Some sand gets in your food too.

Sand Chef is what makes Friday night at Surf and turf such a blast. The effort that the teams put into the competition is incredible. The food flows, the spirits flow and the laughter flows. It's a great time.

I found all the information and I'm considering entering. Seems like all the guys are pros so if I enter I might consider the team name to be Underdogs. :)

to answer the question about PJ Whal's surf shop. It has been closed since the early -mid 90's. He still shapes boards locally and sells them at local shops from Pismo to SLO. I have known PJ and his family for years and they are great folks. He is a true local.

Who's coming from the Mojave?

WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE FINDING OTHER CRUSIERS IN THE MOJAVE TO CONVOY TO PISMO WITH. IS THERE ANY TO GET IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE GOING FROM APPLE VALLEY CA.

Harold's driving his FJ40 and is interested in a caravan. PM me for his contact info.

SnT

Well it turns out that SnT is the same weekend as Homecoming at our local High School, And since Will is a senior this year looks like we will have to miss SnT. :crybaby: I told Will he could bring his date and I am sure we could work something out. This could be the first year SnT goes formal LOL. Anyway as always have a Great time everyone and see you on the trail. Rob, Wendy and Will

Bummer, we're going to miss you Rob. :frown:

I guess we'll plan on doing it again next year.

Maybe he doesn't need a chaperone and you could cut the cord and come without him? It's always a better date if you have the house to yourself afterwards. Trust me. :flipoff2:

I will remember that when your kid has his homecoming LOL :grinpimp: Once in a Lifetime Brother.

Rob, I think we met at the Loon Lake campground on Wed evening prior to Rubithon. I have the camo 40. Tought you folks walked down and enjoyed the fire for awhile. We'll miss ya at SnT.

Haven't touched the 40 since Rubithon.:frown: Got some work to do!:wrench:

Oh no, no 60 on this trip. We're gonna spoil ourselves with the LX. We have to figure out when we are going exactly.
