What good is to have junk if you don't take the time for a little fondling? :D
You talking wives or cars? Besides the car only has two doors. How many doors can it really open for you? Go back to the car with two doors and no trunk! One summer I repeatedly out-ran a 454 big-block Corvette in a 1800cc long-travel VW Baja Bug on the same winding road every time I saw him! I was faster than him every week. I had balls and he had money in his car. So much for fast cars and fondling! Do you have the balls to drive fast? Will you take chances? I out-raced the expensive car every day.

I've gotta do some work on Sunny Belly, get something to post. This thread's getting boring! We're all talking about Corvettes and fondling. This is ugly.
We got the house in Prescott Valley! We will go up there this weekend for inspection and to bring money. Ironically, that should free up some cash. Once we have the house nailed down we can spend some money. Then maybe I can get some paint and a left mirror for the truck. I still need the left door mirror. Anyone with a line on one post up!
I've painted the right mirror, door handles, & rear bumper, washed carpets, other mundane stuff. But main body progress is waiting........!
The old American solution is "If you have a problem, throw money at it. If you don't have any money, then you have a problem".
We are holding all of the money until the house is nailed down. So I guess we have a problem until then. After that I will try to finish up so we have pics to look at.

The final sanding is done on the sides and rear, needs to be done on the hood and top then it's ready for paint. Most of the interior is in, the door panels are waiting on the door handles to be installed after paint and the headliner is still at Rob's house. Looking good! :bounce:

Sunny belly is mostly painted green now. It is John Deere green, a tractor with air conditioning! I have the front fenders and rear doors left to paint. I am known to be skilled at a number of talents, but painting is not one of them. There are some visible flaws in the surface. But it looks pretty acceptable overall. Pics may follow.

That's crazy!!!! I thought I would hate it but it's actually not that bad....already growing on me.
I expect to see it at the next Sonic meet!!!!

The windshield fit, we got it in without cracking it! Most of the bolt on stuff is on, lacking the headliner and some small stuff, then off to the state inspection for registration.

WOW that is SA-WEEEEE-T guys, nice job!

I need to revisit this thread. We need some before and after pics. The truck just finished a 1600 mile trip to the coast and back with perfect performance. Before that we went thru a rough canyon with Kevin and had some fun.
We still have wimpy stock tires but have a custom front bumper and winch. It looks OK but needs some real rubber and a tire carrier on the back. I'll work on that when I get the welder connected in the new hut.
I got some teasing here about using black paint and showing flaws. The green color I used is rather dark and some ripples do show if you look closely. The real display of bodywork is the fact that the roof was badly crushed and yet the sunroof works perfectly. Many people have picked up on this. Both left doors were severely bent, and there are no wind whistles. Yet all of the metal is original, nothing was replaced. I straightened all of it.

Oh, and it looks much better with most of the bugs and dust bunnies knocked out of the paint.:hillbilly:

There would be more pix of it on the trail if it actually wheeled, once in 6 months is just embarrassing!:o

I just saw this truck about an hour ago at some "Jackass Inn" in Prescott Valley. Who's is it?
