Another source of vacuum leak for me that also VASTLY improved brake performance was the big vacuum hose that goes from the throttle body to the booster. It was hard and full of micro cracks. I can promise yours is the same if its hard. Changing that might make a world of difference.
I did replace that one as well, but alas brakes are still soft

I’m just guessing, my truck usually does 1100-1200 on cold start. Just a read a few post 14-1600 seems pretty normal also. Gonna check the FSM to get a solid number. Lots of guys saying vacuum leaks causing 18-19-2000 on cold idle starts and fixing all the vacuum leaks lowers those numbers quit a bit.
one cold cold start car revs immediately to 2K RPM and settles to 1400-1600 rpm till warm. Only hoses not replaced are under the upper intake manifold at this point. I also have a pressurized gas tank so I need a charcoal canister as well I think

That is caused by IAC valve. I have a 93 and I had the exact same issue. Once I cleaned the IAC the cold idle went to 1000-1200 instead of 1500-2000.

I just cleaned the IAC Sunday, while it did fix my warm idle issues, cold start is still sad.

Throttle cable replacement. Toyota Brand only.

Charcoal canister replaced. Holy crap that thing was full...

I occasionally have a pressurized tank. So I've been contemplating a charcoal canister.

Did you use one of the GM ones or something that people say somewhat fit or you actually found an OEM replacement?

I put in the vc120. Tank Pressure gone. But I did have the gas filler click on me a few times before the tank was full after I replaced…

Orikawa door cards have shipped! looking forward to having those installed soon

I'm interested to see how it looks. I had asked about ordering a set since the 1994 doesn't have courtesy lights in the rear doors. He finally confirmed he can ship them without the holes for the curtesy lights.

I feel that I sometimes rest my elbow/arm on the window sill. So I wonder if this will still be comfortable at all.
The ability to add the pouches on the door seems nice. The price is just more than I can justify right now when I also want rear links and wheels. 🤣

I am excited to fit these cards. The door cards on my rig right now are 100% ruined. totally rotten inside and they smell

was super heavy for it size. Think about it like a half full gas can versus a full one
Interesting! I guess I probably need to replace mine as the tank is pressurized a lot of the time.

Are there any obvious impacts to how it runs when it's like that?

maybe? I have noticed the car smells less like raw fuel tbh

The fuel tank may develop a crack in an area that somewhat commonly fails on the top of the tank due to excess pressure and flex-cycling over time.

Also, it's good to not overfill your tank. Once the filler clicks and it the tank is essentially full don't try to cram more gas in as this can add extra burden to the evap system/etc.

oh trust me, after I clicked over it took 10 additional gallons of fuel, so I think it vapor clicked

Yeah, the occasional filler will be super sensitive and click off too soon or repeatedly. 99% of the time I can just fill to a single click and get a full tank. In my youth though I filled until I saw gas backing up which is what I've learned should be avoided... :)
