Replacing the Air Pump/Water Pump/Crank belt on my 2F and am unable to get the belt on the Air Pump pulley; belt is on both other pulleys.

I've loosened the bolts supporting the air pump but am still unable to get it around the pulley. Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks in advance

De-smog it, and get rid of the air pump. :)

If you can't do that, either get the next longer size belt, or if it's close just lever that one over the air pump pulley with something that won't cut or gouge the belt.

Just remove the adjusting bolt in your red circle so you can rotate the air pump farther inward, put the belt on, and then rotate the pump out and reinstall the bolt.

Yeah, tried that and the only way I can get the belt on is by undoing the bolt underneath the air pump, which allows me to get the belt on, but then I can't get that bolt back on to secure the air pump.

Looks like I might have to go for a larger belt.

Brian-

Can you let me know what the right belt is? Thought this was the consensus from a prior thread.

Thanks

FWIW: I swapped the air pump for a power steering pump, the belt I run in that location is the Gates Green Stripe TR24438 (17A1110). It has an effective length of 43.75".

Maybe this should be more about confirming if Gates TR22425 or a 43 1/8" belt (outside circumference) is the correct size or not

Everyone seems to have trouble with this - looking on Toyota I see that product number 99323-01060 is no longer available. I took screenshots of what I think is available.

I have a 1976 and I’m trying to figure out correct ones for mine as specs ‘75-‘76 changed I believe.

If someone could list 76-78 measurements that would be awesome and where to find them. For clarity for future people. Also quick question (not hijacking) - I attached a quick pic and I’m figuring out which 2 belts I need in relation to the Toyota parts and what their measurements are because Toyota fails miserably and doesn’t have that in the details

I would like to follow up this thread with a solution for anyone running into the same issue. The TR22425 is too short and after a few different belt sizes, I found TR22434 worked the best.

Thank you for resolving this question, it’s always helpful when threads are closed out with a solution.

You know what I mean?
