This is awesome! Thanks for putting it all together and sharing, this will be a big help. It looks like the overall cost is significantly less than one of the off-the-shelf lift kits as well. Keep us posted with the install!

About 5 years ago I ordered and installed some front stock height springs from SD Truck Springs after one of mine broke. They were just fine. I ran them for a few years before deciding to go with OME to increase carrying capacity. They are priced about the same as General Spring. Maybe another option to check if availability an issue.

Will do! Just waiting on the rear springs to come in (about 2 weeks) and I'll throw everything on. And yes—definitely less than an off the shelf kit for those who want a high-quality stock setup.

Nice—good to know! I'm surprised that didn't come up in my Googling, but great to know there's another option.

I know this is a late reply, but Atlas springs out of California is one I am interested in. I am replacing the old OME springs/shocks on my 87 to stock height. I'll be using theirs with fox shocks back to the factory height. Good luck.

What fox shocks are you going with? I'd love to run fox but not sure what fits.

@jawbone thank You for posting up the parts list on the suspension refresh. I just ordered all the items listed. for a refresh I am doing on an 87 fj60.
Great Job!
Quite welcome! One thing to note: the front Bilstein's are on backorder for a long time. I got some really basic, cheap shocks from my local 4WheelParts store so I can get everything on, and will throw the better shocks on whenever they get in.

Yeah, interested to know what you're going with. I did a bunch of research and Fox never came up as an ideal option for a stock setup, but I'm a huge Fox fan based on my experience with their mountain bike suspension products.

4th item down is a RIGHT HAND DRIVE tie rod end kit. Is your truck right hand drive? Looks like left hand drive in the avatar pic.

Bilstein can rebuild shocks too. So if you can find the ones you want used but worn out it’s worth asking them about rebuild. They can also tailor the valving in some of their models to match your needs.

Wow, great catch! I updated the original post.

I copied the wrong link into the spreadsheet, but did actually order the correct part. In fact, I had originally emailed CruiserTeq to confirm the right kit. The correct SKU for lefthand drive is TRE69065 and the link is: Tie Rod End Kit - Fits 8/80'-90 60/62 Series Left Hand Drive - https://cruiserteq.com/tie-rod-end-kit-fits-8-80-90-60-62-series-left-hand-drive/
