General springs, or SOR, put add-a-leafs (about $150 a pair) in with your original stock springs, or OME light/light and full a leaf put of each pack. Theres four options right there.
If the main issue is the saggy rear end common with the FJ60 you could just buy some used FJ62 springs to level it out.I just bought an 85 and the suspension is worn out, but just like you, I don't want a lift (at least at this point with small kids). Did you purchase leafs from General Spring? If not, what did you end up going with? Also, did you replace shocks? It seems like for my setup, Bilsteins might do the trick.
Great point - I'm definitely new to Land Cruisers, so didn't know about the add-a-leafs or pulling leafs from OME light/lights - thanks for sharing.General springs, or SOR, put add-a-leafs (about $150 a pair) in with your original stock springs, or OME light/light and full a leaf put of each pack. Yup, was planning on replacing the shackles and bushings as well. The SOR stuff looks great.SOR also has a good shackle and bushing kit for stock springs. Can't recall if they come with the U bolts. Don't forget the rear pads. City Racer and others sell them.
Both of which will probably put you a bit higher than stock, fwiw.Great point - I'm definitely new to Land Cruisers, so didn't know about the add-a-leafs or pulling leafs from OME light/lights - thanks for sharing.
Do Fj62 springs fit on the 60? I believe they are a little wider...but I'm not sure if its enough to cause issuesIf the main issue is the saggy rear end common with the FJ60 you could just buy some used FJ62 springs to level it out.

That's what I figured - not trying to maintain a specific height, just don't want to intentionally add multiple inches of liftBoth of which will probably put you a bit higher than stock, fwiw.
ok, GTK....thought I read they were not a direct swap before. They are not wider. There are more leaves in the pack and they are all individually thinner.
Yes they interchange
Did you order spring bushings too?Ok, ordered the parts for a suspension refresh. Leafs from General Spring, heavy duty shackles from BTB, 555 tie rod ends from Cruiser Teq and a OME steering stabilizer. That should tighten things up and make the ride a bit smoother.
Last thing on the list, but the kids woke up before I could finish researching and buying. Looks like the SOR bushings are the way to go—any recommendations?Did you order spring bushings too?
Poly bushings will be firmer and usually a little easier to install. But you will have to replace them more often. The factory style rubber ones will last for years and years without issue.Last thing on the list, but the kids woke up before I could finish researching and buying. This is great, nice work! Any chance you could summarize a complete list of part numbers, source, price for anyone looking to do this upgrade in the future (myself included)?Ok, ordered the parts for a suspension refresh. Got it - super helpful. I went ahead and ordered the SORs, will see how they do.Poly bushings will be firmer and usually a little easier to install. But you will have to replace them more often. The factory style rubber ones will last for years and years without issue.
Exactly what I got, but their shackles weren't in stock, so I ordered from another site. But they look exactly the same—I got the grease-able ones as well.

Great idea. Thanks for posting these links. This is a great suggestion - this would have been really helpful
I'm building out a Google Sheet that includes links, parts, part numbers and links to research I've done (most of which are links from this forum). I can make it public when it's a bit more cleaned up, but here's a table of everything I ordered, including links, part numbers and price (note price is total price for parts where I ordered a quantity of more than 1).
Sadly, the front leafs don't get here until April, so the suspension and steering refresh is on hold. I'll probably tackle the AC next - I have most of the parts in a box that came with the truck when I bought it.
