Stock height springs for an FJ60

These 60s with the new springs look like they’re riding about 1 inch higher than the true Toyota stance when the 60s rolled out of the factory in the 80’s.
This is a good thing.
The stock springs were very low. A brand new 60/62 on the dealership lot only had about 1/2” downward travel on the front springs before hitting the bump stop.
I measured one (at the dealership) in 1988.

Maybe that's the however many weeks, months, or miles a new 60/62 would have spent getting it's suspension cycled on a container ship and vehicle transport between Japan and a US dealership?

I’m a big fan of this new kit available for folks who want to keep a classic look to their 6x trucks.

Rides well, simple system, a good mix of new OEM parts and solid Japanese aftermarket suppliers.

Great parts contribution by @cruiseroutfit. 👍

@cruiseroutfit, sold, ill be getting in touch. Assuming there isn't much difference for spring set-up between an FJ60 and a BJ60?

From the OE yes, that is part of the learning curve on these kits, Toyota had 20+ different part numbers for the 60 Series springs along, front, rear, RH, LH, with winch, year changes, motor changes, etc. Using OE specs the spring manufacture supersedes many/most of those back into a handful of part numbers but we have found though trial/error exactly which are the best fit and modifying them a bit yet to have a clean level stance.

Appears they are sold out at this point I have to chase other solutions I believe Suggestions as this thread has some age to it. I have spent way more already than hoped and my queen is worn a bit with 2k here and 3 k there

I’d try calling the office. I don’t think they list the Japanese OE reproductions on their e-comm site

They are sold out but we have a few pallet loads of the spring on the water from Japan. I’m currently on the road traveling but I took care of the import paperwork on this batch of springs before I left. ETA late November? We’ll see what customs does to us time wise (and what tariffs do to us cost wise). As such our sales team (primarily Jason and Chance) can/will put you on an interest list to call when they are available and we know what the new pricing will look like. We should have enough kits for ~20 60’s coming, though I know we have a handful committed pending the same pricing update. Thanks!

Thanks. I asked to be put on the list so fingers crossed. @cruiseroutfit could some send me a pm as to what pricing was on previous invy scenerios I am trying to get a ballpark idea. The new batch in all probability will have new economics which I under stand. Thanks

Hi all - checking in for any updates on the 60 stock height option springs - thanks.

Excited to say they arrived from Japan and are on pallets at the shop! We'll do our best to get sorting kits this next week but it's traditionally a super busy week with holiday orders. Please ping the shop for further info, they'll be handing 100% of the processing and orders. If you are on our callback list, they will call and take proper orders in the order of contact.

The guys sent me this pic this last week

Quick question for all you tire / suspension gurus. My 16x6 70 wheels just arrived. Planning on pairing them with 235/85/16 Agilis Cross Climate2 - tall and skinny. I will be dropping back to a OEM-ish height suspension through Cruiser Outfitters.....I have searched googled etc - just getting another gut check here to make sure I'll be fine with spacing etc. I believe I should be......Pic is of my current set up - unknown lift from many years ago and 32x11.5x15 with oem wheels.

Thanks in advance.....
